So it doesn't take any insight in order to set up other commentators?

Yep,defiantely hit or miss!! Actually,I think this year has been pretty good for them, outside of the fight card two weeks ago, which was pure shit!! They've been better moreso this year than the last few years:bears:

no. you're right. and papas is a master at the power of suggestion. in fact, hsvingngivren it mo0re thught, i think he has more insight somtimes then the
experts." he'sjust humble enough to hint it to them and let them the one to declare it.

fact is, a lot of the success enjoyed by the so called experts in the sport is due to power plays, knowing the right people and commanding then respect of the right people.

but i gurantee you you benrdstein and even that jew guy on showbox are intellecually supperior to stewrard, dundee, etc, in terms of breaking down a fight.

Bernstein, Marotta and Farhood are my personal favorites.

I think Bernstein is the best commentator. He was at his best in his ESPN days, but he's still good. I disagree with some of his scorecards, but he keeps his concentration on the action.

One thing I always liked with Bernstein were his references to a boxer's previous fights...even obscure ones. He did his homework on fighters and he was able to make that information relevent.

IMO, the best commentating crew possible would be him - back in his ESPN - calling fights by himself.

I like Farhood at lot. I think print was probably his best format, but he's still very good on television.

You're saying he has the looks of a writer?

I think Nick Charles looks the most uncomfortable in front of the camera.

what 's unique about benrstein is that he has a sense of a fighter's team's expectations - and narrates the actiomnms withrespect to this which amkes for an interesting take in many cases, for example, when a fighter's camp is just way off about what they expected to occur.

Nick Charles is awful. I used to like him when he did CNN's version of Sportscenter. He sucks at boxing though.

Was that the Delvin Rodriguez card at Mohegan Sun? I was there. All the best fights were actually off TV that night.

Bernstein's "Keys to Victory" is the most underrated segment in Boxing, because he is almost always right.
