what happens if Cotto gets beaten up and stopped again in his next fight?

It will be simply "explained" away by Manny groupies as Cotto being "ruined" by Pacquiao much like how Tyson groupies act regarding Lewis-Ruddock.

when in actual fact it would have been Margarito's gloves which ruined him, then he struggles against Clottey, gets battered by Pacman (where he has to weigh in at the scummy weight of 145), then gets battered around a few more times in his career

DLH doesn't get credit for beating a post-Tito Vargas...this should be no different for Pac

it's not over yet people :nono:....come on Cotto, get ktfo :crafty:

Of course, the converse is also true, with Manny detractors already on record as trying to discredit the Cotto win as being due to Cotto being 'ruined' by Plasterino.

uhhh Cotto being ruined was a big concern going into the Pac-Cotto fight :notallthere:

It was a big concern among people who know nothing about boxing.

'Ruined' fighters do not battle through a vagina on their face to outgrit Clottey in a high profile, title fight.

I wouldn't disagree at the notion that Cotto was somewhat diminished after the Margacheato fight, but DIMINSIHED is not the same as RUINED.

Diminished fighters can still beat top level guys (i.e Clottey). Ruined fighters cannot.

Cdogg, if Pac beat Floyd and Shane in style in his next couple of fights, where would you rank him then? I mean, it's not like he can do much else?
