But you also cut down boxing when it DOESN'T deserve it. Shit, last September you were trying to tell me the MAB/Juarez II card was crap on paper. But... in the same breath, the Liddell/Ortiz card was awesome because Forrest Griffen was on the undercard?

I just find it laughable that a UFC fan would have the nerve to say another sport has too many PPV's.

I didn't bother replying to the post, because your post agreed with me. If this crappy fight is too terrible for HBO and Showtime, it has no business being on PPV. How is not replying to a post agreeing with me, ducking anything?

Liddell\Ortiz was a stacked card, like it or not. Much more so then any boxing PPV in years.

And yes, boxing has too many PPV's. What is laughable about that?

UFC has just recently expanded their PPV calendar, and it still doesn't approach boxing. Also, you never see MMA groups running shows on the same night like the boxing networks do. How is it good for the fan when boxing forces them to choose between 1 fight or another, which they do all the time.

You're not making any points here.

Which adds to the excitement of MMA, as much more so then boxing, it seems on any given day, any fighter can beat another.

How was it stacked? It was AA vs. a guy with no chance, and a reality show guy in what was also supposed to be a showcase fight. The MAB/Juarez fight had three VERY good match-ups on paper. Yet you called the card crap. It was easily as good on paper, if not better, than any UFC card I can remember.

Any idea which fights are on Showtime and which are part of the PPV?

Also, is that Johnny Morton as in the former Lions, Chiefs and 49ers WR?

What the hell is that about?

How was it stacked? It has a title match between two of the most popular fighters in UFC history, a match featuring a former UFC Heavyweight Champion beginning his comeback, two fights featuring TUF winners, and a fight featuring one of the more popular TUF fighters facing off against a fighter who had just beaten the previous TUF finalist.

I'd say UFC fans were familiar with all but possibly 2 of the fighters on the main card.

Bashing UFC 66 justs shows your ignorant hatred for MMA.

Because to the average fight fan, the undercard was full of 130 pound nobodies they've never been exposed to.

Juarez almost beat MAB the first time they fought... that's why they fought again. Liddell/Ortiz II was nothing more than UFC disguising a weak fight with fancy names. Similar to the crap Ortiz/Shamrock II that all the new, stupid TUF fans bought in to. I actually knew some people who thought that would be good, because of the TUF show.

Everyone knew Shamrock had no chance, but it was fight between two of the sports biggest names, that was marketed perfectly. Aside from Floyd\Oscar, what was the last boxing match you could say that about?

Imagine the money the Gatti\Ward rematches could've made had they really pushed the promotion, based on just the 1st fight?

My thoughts exactly, it would've made a nice package with Wlad-Brewster II. HBO is retarded. Its like they don't want to make big fights.:notallthere:

You mean to the casual fan not a boxing fan. The truth is Vasquez,Gonzalez,Guzman and Barrios have been on the main networks in 1 form or another. Not to mention those were 2 excellent fights (Barrios-Guzman and Vasquez-Gonzalez). All I ever see from you is shit talk about boxing, I honestly have no idea why you post on a boxing board.

Juarez didn't almost beat shit ever. I know that is what the media said and some said Oscar beat Floysd. Bullshit. Rocky throws three punches a round. He isn't outpointing a slug.

TFK is right that boxing's on the shitter, it's criminal that MAB-Juarez II on PPV. But of course, he's biased, nearly all recents UFC card were crap but he doesn't complain about it thought.

UFC PPV cards usually have way more fights on them than boxing cards tough. Boxing PPV's have one good fight and usually the rest is garbage.

NO they don't, last UFC card was the perfect example of it, one good fight ( on paper ) and the rest was shit. They may have more fights ( televised ) but they are garbage fights, filler between nobodies or a semi-name vs a pure nobody

I think we're both a little right here. The last UFC was not that good I agree, but they do for the most part show more fights.
