How many shots did Marquez actually land against Floyd? I think I can remember one or two.

Marquez didn't land a lot. I don't think he would be landing much more against a faster, more active and prime Mayweather at 130. Mayweather was more agressive back then as well, I would be more concerned on Marquez dealing with Floyd's constant counterpunching and jabs.

I'd take Mayweather over Marquez at 130 with little hesitation... but it would be a real, competitive fight.

Worst dive ever. Who stumbles around trying to break their fall then just goes completely out after they have hit the canvas softly?

Glad Marquez won so we can see him test Pacquiao.

Im not sure Marquez landed many flush shots to the chin, tbh. But I def agree the fight would have been very COMPETITIVE at 130.

The only thing you care about is Mayweather. Not surprising you don't care about a clear dive.

I didn't see the fight. But I care about Pacquiao fighting Marquez. If Marquez had lost it would have been a catastrophe.

Which is why he took a dive, someone didn't want him in the way.

and in this case...I'm happy there was a dive, if it was one. Pacquiao-Marquez is an important fight.

If JMM can't beat Ramos legit, (which he would have anyway) he shouldn't be fighting Pac.

Yup.....but then makes you wonder other than making a few extra bucks...why did the piss drinker take the fight if he was worried about injuries....

He landed a few, make no mistake. Every single time it was counter right hands, that was basically Marquez's only success in the whole fight.

The fight wasn't QUITE as one sided as people make it out to be, as Marquez did land a fair share of clean counter right hands.

Absolutely. Like Neil said, it was probably injury concerns as Marquez would bash this guy any day of the week anyway, BUT, if the plan was to get him to take a dive then really what on earth was the point of the fight? Ridiculous. Just spar some southpaws in the gym, rather than spar one in the ring for 1 minute and 30 seconds

Marquez will give Pacquiao hell again. Pac will drop him early as usual and then Marquez will win the majority of the remaining rounds. Marquez is a smart fighter, with toughness and heart....he's not one of the usual tomato cans that Pac fights.

Jesus, your Floyd hugging has reached new levels.

And no, sorry. Pacquiao stops Marquez this time and takes another shit on Floyd's resume, and the only common opponent where Floyd has performed better :kidcool:

Now Pac fights cans. You are getting worse every day, you know that isn't true.

I'm sure they just wanted JMM to look like a monster and add some hype to the Pac fight.

Yeah, probably a combination of the two to be honest.

Marquez looked as surprised as anyone.

Agreed. 1st round knockouts always open the uneducated viewer's eyes.

Berto was a monster after knocking out that other no hoper before Ortiz.
