Is there any way Klitshkos could become ATGs?

I think Vitali can win a few more fights. He just needs to stay behind the jab and eek out a few more narrow decisions.

Vitali is more of a stoppage artist than a KO artist nowadays. He seemed to hit with more authority early on though

He's a big puncher when he chooses to be one. He just doesn't have the inclination. Its not his character. In his early days he threw some bombs. The physical degradation means he just settles into a groove now. Not broken. Don't fix it.

A good contrast would be David Price, who can't do anything else and so is forced to punch. When he does punch, and it lands, its lights out time. But he has that mindset, Vitali doesn't.

He used to. I refuse to believe that if Vitali steps forward, plants his feet {instead of getting ready to jump back and counter} and swings, somebody isn't taking kip.

I wish Vitali would walk into somebody and do this again:

    <object style="height: 390px; width: 640px"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/4kTH67SNeAU?version=3"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always"><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/4kTH67SNeAU?version=3" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always" width="640" height="390"></object>

We just have not seen him walk into anyone and throw shots like that.

Completely agree. (you might have a slightly higher estimation of his power, but probably not hugely different)

He could win until hes 50 so long as the Arreolas, Peters & Solis' constitute top challengers.

These guys cant even get into shape with millions of dollars & career opportunities on the line - something a woman can do for the sake of hitting the dating scene! To say nothing of their limitations elsewhere.

But oh no, its all Klitschko magic which keeps the show running. LOL.

BTW, I think he's significantly better now than he was 10 years ago.

Before the rotator cuff injury, his fluidity and hand-speed were markedly better. The only time I ever saw him walk out and try, immediately, to blast somebody out, was the night Wlad lost to Purritty in Kiev. That fight ended in around 45 seconds.

I could scream if I hear the word, "dominant," used one more time to bolster either brother's claim to greatness

He thinks he is too, and puts it down to experience. I always said that a guy 2 years past his best is a more dangerous fighter than a guy 2 years before his best.

Joe Louis was dominant. He dominated Galento and Buddy Baer. Not to mention walking in and blasting out teak-tough Farr.

Nope, he was as tough as him, but nowhere near as big, and as you know, its the size difference that they get by on.

The Klitschkos would still be winning, whether as convincing or not, if they were, say, 6'2 & in the 220-230 range.

    IMO, anyway. Others may disagree.

How old is Romanza? Seems his type is usually an old guy from the era in which he loves so much. I don't see many young guys talking about the stuff he posts. I can only assume he's got a giant tape collection?

    What is your story Romanza?

I easily wipe my ass with you in every argument, you are just TOO FUCKING DUMB to realize it

Vitali is a good accumulation puncher, not a one-shot guy

He does, he invited me up to see it. A whole wall of meticulously shelved canisters like an East Berlin archive. Another covered in 1920s baseball cards & another covered in rare erotic photographs of Clark Gable. The last wall just has the couch bed we watched Fred Zivic together on in awkward silence. And a curious Oil portrait of Teddy Rosevelt in Safari gear and a lilac neckerchief.

    I do, quite vehemently too.

I could sit here and tell you how much I think they'd suck but to be honest there is no way to determine how good or bad the Klits would be if you take away their height and reach because they would be completely different fighters having to fight in a completely different style.

IMO they'd be on the same level as much of the competition they've been able to dominate through the use of their height and reach. Take that talent from them and what do they have that sets them apart from everyone else?

    Nothing.

Juan Diaz stopped Acelino Freitas in fewer rounds than Diego Corrales did. Juan Diaz is obviously a big puncher!!@!
