Many probably have not. You may have heard of his products, though --- Ultimate Orange, or Designer Whey. To say he knew more abour steroids than anyone you've ever met would be an under-statement of quite substantial proportions. "Guru," would be the word I would use.

Anyway, when my brother's friend saw Duschaine for a pair of consultations (this was some time ago, mind), the point of interest for said friend was how steroids could help with his Boxing (he was an amateur at the time) --- namely, power & speed, which were his two biggest problem areas. Duschaine wrote him out a three-page explanation of their discussion, & his take, on what to do about Boxing. He barred him from lifting, & from juicing, & directed him toward DNP, which at the time was not a well-known substance.

Regarding what someone mentioned about Baseballers, it's a great question, & one which bears plenty of interesting thought. Barry Bonds has said they don't help him hit, but he would say that. The thing about steroids is that they're expensive, they're utilised (in the cases we're discussing) by dedicated, professional athletes performing at the highest levels of competition, & that's a significant clue right there. Nobody at that level dreams about wasting a cycle of steroids, so anyone on them, time & again, can be spotted. How? They're the first to arrive at the gym, & the last to leave. They work harder & longer than anyone, not only because they recover quicker, but because of the Placebo affect (which has been shown to be absolutely nothing to sneeze at).

Wow, did someone really just say that?

    "Hardly anything is God-given anymore."

Surely, you jest. You have to be. There is not an enhancer in the world which will turn a non-puncher into a puncher. Have you ever seen a fighter who's career has gone that way in your life? There is no enhancer in the world which will turn an average runner into a world-class sprinter. None.

Do you really mean to say ordinary people, without the genetics, can be turned into superstar athletes by drugs?

But surely you think steroids help players hit more homers, yes?

Considering you have to have Down's Syndrome to fail a drug test, no, there are no positive tests. However, there are tons of doping boxers.

Richard Schaefer has offered up Marcos Maidana's services for a Timothy Bradley fight in November.

    Shocking development.

These days power to weight dependent athletes like sprinters and olympic lifters are using things like Methandrostenolone & Fluoxymesterone which aid fibre recruitment and the neural aspect of strength by increasing excitatory hormones that stimulate the CNS during training. Again, a punch is no different to any other human expression of muscular force - all other things being equal if you get stronger you express more force. That bloody simple.

Admittedly, boxing's so incredibly behind every other major sport in training matters, I'd be surprised if such effective practices are widespread. I bet David Haye and the Klitschkos are doping right though, since they're also training like modern athletes.

The thing about weight restrictions is diminished though when you have a guy who has difficulty getting up to a certain weight in the first place, remember...

no way is Bradley on roids. Had he kod Abregu I would have wondered. Because he outclassed him in every way. He just wasn't stronger than him and it showed.

This doesn't mean anything. roids don't make everyone into superman, they just make everyone better than they naturally would be in whatever area you can name.

well Bradley's performance seem similar to the ones he's had at 140 that's why I made the point about the weight.

Had he gone up to 147 and seem stronger than at 140 than I would be suspicious.

bradley came in at 149, basically being young enough to still cut weight without losing much stamina it makes no sense for him to fight at welter unless he gets a fight with either of the two top guys.
