The Part about Mormeck is HILARIOUS...But the Level of SKILL & TALENT is Much Better @ Crusier than it Is @ Heavy...There's just No BIG "Names" @ Crusier...But by Continuing to Face Each Other, a BIG "Name" Could Emerge...

maybe, but in the HW at least Wlad can be considered "the guy".

I mean he fought like an absolute peasant against Ibragimov, but he still won 10-2 and we come on here criticizing him for how crappy he looks.

There isn't "a guy" at Cruiserweight, its just all a bunch of nobodies since Mormeck turned into such a bust. The talent is deeper, but as long as nobody can identify who the best guy is, it will be a division in turmoil, even moreso than something like HW that has meager talent, but a strong champion.

I never said that being No1 in a division meant that a guy MUST be a P4P fighter? Where did I say this?

Mormeck had 'debatable' wins but then you bring up Jermain Taylor and call him 'a real champion'? WTF? Almost ALL of his 'big' wins were debatable! Since when did 'debatable' wins stop a win being such?

I mention it because a KO1 win against almost ANY opponent when stepping up in weight is impressive. Not because that bum Bonin is any good. I also mention it because you are talking about P4P, which last time I checked was a method people used to rank fighters in different divisions. Haye actually went up a division and won by KO1. This shouldn't be counted when considering a P4P ranking? :dunno:

Cruiserweight is loaded because it is heavy at the top of it. It is one of the divisions where there are lots of evenly matched guys right at the top. I'm not saying that they are all great fighter's or anything like that, but which other division has that sort of top-heavy feel? And how come none of those guys are any good? Says who?

And Cruiserweight is NOT as bad as HW as a division :nono:

Haye will beat Enzo then he will vacate and move up. HW is so CRAP at the minute, that when he does so he will be a live threat IMO, despite having a weak chin at CW. People are talking about Rahman and McCall as live fighter's at HW right now. I wouldn't pick either to beat Haye. Not a chance in hell would I.

And I criticised the way Wlad fought on Saturday. I have not anywhere doubted that he is the top guy at HW by a mile. But HW is the worst division in boxing right now by miles and miles and miles.

Like, a MILLION PERCENT better. Anyone who can't see that the HW division is the worst by EONS is as mad as a hatter IMO...

The reason there are no 'names', with respect, may have something to do with what you said in the Haye-Mac thread I started.

Apparently, you have seen neither of these guys fight and neither has had any TV exposure in the States?

(which begs the question of how anyone who has seen neither can dismiss my statement that Haye is P4P, but I digress...)

In the UK and Europe, both of these guys are 'names', especially Enzo.

Where did I say Mormeck had debatable wins? And yes, Taylor was a "real champion", in that he had wins over Hopkins x 2, Wright and Spinks. He had been atop that division since '05, without winding up on his back to a fighter of Oneil Bell's lack-of-calibre.

And you lead off your argument by stating that Haye was the consensus #1 in a division. Whoop-dee-doo. It's ratshit and he's won ONE SINGLE FIGHT. Beating the man, makes you the divisions man, but it don't make you a P4P (stupid fucking argument) fighter.

And on the subject of how good or bad the divisions is; who says they aren't good? Who says they ARE good? We could go around for years. Thats subjectivity, like thee retarded lists, which end up including David fucking Haye's of the world.

    Yes there is. David Haye.

REED tells me that none of the major (Euro) CW's have had any TV exposure over the States (in fact, he has stated that he has seen neither Haye nor Mac before).

Have you seen either Haye or Enzo Mac fight?

    Errr...

    :dunno:

Also, many would debate whether or not Taylor won either fight with Hops and Wright. For the record, I still considered him 'the Champ' until Kelly KHTFO, but my point is that a 'debatable' win is still a 'win', generally speaking.

When Hatton beat Tzsyu, did this automatically elevate him onto most P4P lists?
When Pavlik beat Taylor, did this automatically elevate him onto most P4P lists?
If Kessler had beaten Calzaghe, would this have elevated him onto most P4P lists?
If Witter beats Hatton, would this elevate him onto most P4P lists?

I'm not necessarily saying that this SHOULD be the case, but when compiling a P4P list MOST would first and foremost look at who the top guy in each division is and rank them accordingly. A LOT of the time, 'the man' in any given division is one who won a fight to displace 'the man'. That's the nature of boxing- you beat the champ and you become the champ...

You just don't like P4P lists Tam. Period

Snap. Scratch that. Mormeck is a bum anyway.

    Semi-agreed.

Mormeck ain't Tszyu. Hatton hadn't been KOed by a fucking dribbler on his last legs.
Mormeck ain't Taylor. Pavlik hadn't been KOed by a dribbler on is last legs.
If? IF? A) Mormeck ain't Calzaghe. Kessler hadn't been KOed by a dribbler on his last legs.
    B) Kessler had already beaten MULTIPLE top ten opponents. Haye had beaten....uhm...Gurov?

I thinkyou already know what I'm going to say by now.

I don't like P4P lists. I never said otherwise. But the reason for that is because people fucked them, by putting fighters who have NO PLACE ON THEM on these lists. David Haye? UGH.

Again, Haye is the champ. Yay for him. Beating Mormeck gave him that status. It doesn't grant him status as one of the very best fighters in the sport.

Maybe it was that retarded alter ego of yours that did the voting. You know the one who always comes on here and makes threads telling us how the guy who lost the fight won it in your eyes? I'll bet it was him.
