2000 was indeed a really good year of boxing.

Barrera-Morales 1 was an absolute classic, as was Trinidad-Vargas. We got Trinidad-Reid, Quartey-Vargas, Mosley-DLH. Lewis-Grant and Lewis-Tua didn’t turn out so well, but they were fights at HW that people wanted to see materialize, and Lewis had another bout that year against Botha, so he was a pretty active HW champ.

2001 wasn’t as good for having such good fights, but it was the year of the upset, and we got a couple unification fights.

It's hard to fathom now, but I remember both S/O and BF being torn 50-50 in the build-up of Mayweather-Corrales.

  5. Word. 2000 was excellent.

Isn’t it crazy that we are talking about the year 2000....and it was 18 years ago?

I used to get a lot of big calls correct back then, I had Corrales to lose late to Mayweather, Hopkins to stop Tito late, and Tszyu to stop Judah once he hit him hard.
