man, i remember seeing a lot of PR press during cotto-quintana and i even recall a few of them saying how if calderon were to ever fight cazares, he would get knocked the fuck out.

i'm really not sure who's going to win the rematch.

I can't wait for this fight! It's going to be great! Cazares is very dangerous considering his size advantage. It can go either way but I'm predicting Calderon via UD.

Unbeaten WBO light flyweight champion Ivan "Iron Boy" Calderon (31-0, 6 KOs) prepares for his highly anticipated rematch against Hugo Cazares (26-4-1, 19 KOs). Word is Calderon is in peak condition and ready to once again defeat Cazares. It will be another classic clash of styles between boxer Calderon and puncher Cazares. Both fighters had their moments in the first fight making the rematch very intriguing. Calderon has made two title defenses since their first bout. The card, titled Latin Fury 6, will be co-promoted by Top Rank & PR Best Boxing Promotions (Ivan & Peter Rivera). The event will be aired live on Pay Per View Saturday August 30th 9PM EST/6PM PST on pay-per-view.
    :bears:WAR CALDERON!!!!!

I figured you'd be pretty pumped up about it. I could picture you sleeping outside the Ticketmaster offices the night before just to get any seats that are available.

    'Iron Boy' focused, on weight
    by Lee Bates
An extremely fit WBO Light Flyweight Champion Ivan "Iron Boy" Calderon (31-0, 6 KOs) training intensely at the Gimnasio Wilfredo Gómez Arena in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico, is already within a few pounds of the 108-pound weight limit for his Aug. 30 rematch and title defense against former champion Hugo Cazares (26-4-1, 19 KOs). "I'm 100% confident in my preparation, conditioning, and will box intelligently,â€￾ says Calderon. “I'm very motivated for this fight and have worked very hard on making sure I don't repeat any of my mistakes from the first fight."

It's a sad day for Puerto Rican boxing fans when the last "star" they have to cling to is Calderon.

OMG, Cazares is still ten pounds over the weight limit while Calderon is just one pound over just a week from the fight! :bangh:Obviously Cazares doesn't belong in this division if just seven days before the fight he is still ten pounds heavier.:warning:

10 pounds to lose in a week is nothing. He lost 13 last time. He's LIGHTER this time for that weigh in than the last time they fought.

That's fine. My point is that this guy should be fighting in two or maybe three divisions above the one he is fighting now.

He abides by the rules and it actually hurts him. I thought he pretty clearly faded the last couple rounds against Calderon the first time. Sure he's bigger but it clearly has an effect on him losing that weight. Lots of fighters do that stupid shit anyways.

Do the legendary Puerto Rican fighters share their past experiences with you and offer you advice?
Whenever I get together with former Puerto Rican legendary fighters they always share with me the bad experiences. They do this because they don't want me to make the same mistakes that they made.:hammert:
