He can punch, but he's no f'ing Julian Jackson for sure. He's a good, solid puncher, particularly with the left hook. Nothing more.
Julian Jackson is 1 of the Best Pure Punchers EVER...REED is Saying that Green is 1 of the 10 Best Pure Punchers CURRENTLY.... REED:hammert:
29-1 (20). From what I've seen, his power matches up with his record. Above-average and nothing more. You're the one spouting contrarian bullshit. I've never seen Green touted as a p4p puncher. Because he isn't. Resume ad hominem stuff, because your assertion is weak.
The guy starched Jaidon Codrington. If one blast out ko makes you a p4p puncher then there are approximately 1,217 active boxers who have a claim to being p4p top 10 punchers right now.
When Green won the national championships in the amateurs, he knocked out everyone he faced in the tournament. That doesn't happen quite often. Maybe we don't view him as a puncher, but the guy standing across the ring from him does.
1nce Again U've Lived DOWN to your Reputation...@ Least U're CONSISTENT...The Contrarian BULLSHIT ARTIST Strikes Again!!! REED:shit:
Let's see your list of p4p punchers... Without leaving 168, Green's own weight class, I would put guys like Abraham and Froch above him. And Kessler, and Bute, and Miranda, and Stevens. And there are all kinds of gym fighters who probably hit harder but don't have the skills to land. So, he's #5 at best. In his own weight class. Your assertion is bullshit. Back it up.
Abraham's had what 2 Meaningful Fights @ 168???...Carl Froch???...Please....YOU'RE the GENUIS that 1nce Said "Mikkel Kessler is ALREADY a PROVEN GREAT Fighter", NOW U're OVERrating his Punching Power as Well???...Bute Stopped Andrade w/a BODYSHOT...Waaaaaaaay Tooooo PREMATURE in Labeling him a Puncher Based on that...Do U Mean CURTIS "Stevens"???...The Same Guy that was RINGSIDE when his Homey Got "Chin Checked" Into NEXT WEEK???:: U're Pulling Names OUT of your Ass, Dude...Just like U Pull CONTRARIAN Boxing Opinions Out of your Ass....Your PATHETIC, Attention Seeking Tactics Make U THE LAMEST Poster on FB by Faaaaaaaar... WHEN (Not If, but WHEN) Allan Green KO's Sakio Bika AND Andre Ward (Something Joe Calzaghe, Edison Miranda & Mikkel Kessler COULDN'T Do), the Sheer IDIOCY of yet Another of your Boxing Opinions will B Revealed... UNTIL Then, Keep Wallowing in STUPIDITY... REED:hammert:
List your p4p best punchers, Reed. You spouted shit earlier and you haven't backed it up one bit. Back it up.
So now Green is a puncher based on what he will do in the future. Abraham and Froch have a higher KO percentage against a far better level of opposition, and one punch KOs among them, so I can´t believe you even want to argue that Green has proven to have more punching power.
Exactly. Green is an above average puncher, slightly, nothing more. He is below average in everything else heart, stamina, chin, defense. His speed is ok, I guess. Codrington isn't exactly David Tua in the chin department either.
KO % has NEVER Told the TRUE Story about Punchers...Vitali Klit has an ABSURD KO %, but he Certainly AIN'T a Puncher is He???...Green is a TRUE Puncher Based on what he's Done AND What he WILL Do... REED:mj:
In Other News, Winky Wright AND Chris Byrd R "MORE EXCITING than Muhammad Ali AND Sugar Ray Leonard"... REED:mj:
You could have saved yourself the post, if you didn´t intentionally ignore this part "and one punch KOs among them". We have all seen seen Khoren Gevors head do a 180 or Taylor´s stiff arm.
Never said the illiterate. Paint drying is more exciting than Ali fighting. It is different watching him from a heterosexual point of view. You wouldn't know about that though.
KO ratio's don't tell the whole story. Some fighters are more aggressive than others, and some fighters are simply better at landing their punches than others, some fighters have fought fighters with better chins etc.
Of course, which is why I continued with "From what I've seen..." Allan Green is fast and he lands his punches regularly. In his case, I believe the KO ratio does tell the whole story. And except for Reed's bullshit and Arben's account of a long ago amateur accomplishment, there isn't much to back up any claim that Green is among the hardest punchers in the sport.
