Yeah very unusual sort of punch for any established fighter to ever get hit by.

 

Expect McGregor and his people to push for a much anticipated battle against "dangerous" James Kirkland.

Probably not unless "any fighter" includes the guys who are like 0-30 with 29 losses via KO who are brought out purely as cannon fodder.

 

Looking at that ghost video of Kirkland, he's built well but his body is crumpling from those blows. These guys are on a whole other level.

I would say Charlie would be in the nuthouse, but the mental health care system is a mess. He would probably just sneak assault the other patients there anyway. That’s what happened when Jermain Taylor was in a mental facility, he beat up another patient. And unlike Charlie, he’s a real boxer who can do scary damage.

I’m pretty scared to think of what Jermain Taylor might do. It’s fortunate that he hasn’t already murdered anyone (that we know of).

I’ve seen way too much of the bizarre trainwreck that is Charlie Zelenoff. I still find it hard to believe that someone like this actually exists. He actually goes to brothels, records him fucking or kissing the hooker, and then plays the audio and goes “that’s me kissing my super hot girlfriend”. Then you hear a girl in a heavy Asian accent say “thank you, please come again”.

That said, as awful as Charlie is at boxing, he could still hurt someone by attacking an unsuspecting person the way he does. He went to jail once for sucker punching a pizza man who looked like a senior citizen.

 

Have you watched the home made documentary about Zelenoff on youtube? I couldn't help pitying the man, I mean the guy is completely deluded. He needs heavy psychiatric treatment. At one point, he walks around in the streets, with his fake belt wrapped around his shoulder, and he genuinely seems to believe he's giving back to the community, getting them to see «the champ» walking around the neighbourhood that has seen him grow up. At another point, he shows a picture of a model, clearly a professionnal picture he probably cut out of a magazine, and tells that's his girlfriend. I think he's harassing famous women too, even knocking at their personnal residence. He's a scary combination of dumb and totally deluded.

 

Deontay Wilder actually took his toy belt from him when he smacked him around, so I guess Charlie bought another one.

I’ve seen the documentary, he’s a uniquely twisted individual. Like there’s so many people out there who are dumb or delusional or narcissistic or creepy or whatever but he’s all of the above, taken to an extreme. He makes many videos for the girls he wants, he thinks they’re actually watching his videos, and he’ll show some lipstick or a pair of high heels and say “Kim Kardashian, look the champ bought you some sexy shoes, call me!”

 

Kirkland says he has no plans to retire, and wants to reunite with Mann Wolfe.

Pre-Leonard, he sounded fine. Granted, the brother was never articulate, but he wasn't slurring at all in the early 80s.
