Okay, so why do you want to see the fight again if JMM beat Pac twice in your mind? No point for a third fight right if you truly believe JMM is up 2-0? Now you can just go on to the dying part.

I think JuanMa WILL get hit on the chin. He's good, but not that good - and at points throughout the fight - as long as it lasts one way or the other - De Leon WILL catch him. I wouldn't even be surprised to see it become a slugfest. JuanMa doesn't move his head that much and punches with his chin out as he is so focused on offense.

I think Lopez has potential - especially the fact that he has that right hook which is a devastating weapon that few southies employ - but I think the fight with Ponce de Leon will tell us how good.

His big advantage is strength. I think JuanMa is stronger and if he can continually push De Leon back that's in his favor.

He'd better use his jab overtime too.

I'm looking forward to this fight.

    Peace.

To be fair, however...the fight with John was a bone-headed move but is not representative of what JMM was usually making for fights. So that's a little out of context.

As far as the PPV...BOTH men were responsible for the numbers. Marquez drew in plenty of fans - and them BOTH being in the ring is what made the magic.

It makes absolutely total sense for Pacquiao to stay in the division and try to unify/clean up; along with Marquez; and either fight again now or have a third one down the line.

I mean, the Marquez-Valero-Guzman-Pacquiao foursome is tantalizing no matter what way you split up the match-ups. Throw in some wildcard guys like Soto, Barrios, and so on for in-between fights and it'd be a sight to see.

Like I said....I don't think they "need" to fight again but it's absolutely still the most compelling fight at 130 or anywhere around the weight - and we'd ALL tune in to watch it.

    Peace.

My point was more if you put Marquez as a headliner against a non-name like Solis, the card barely does 25,000 PPV buys. Pacquiao was able to do 200,000+.

There has to be a third match. I can't understand why a boxing wouldn't want to see these 2 warriors put it on the line like they did in the first 2 fights. It wild the way things go. After the first fight Pac-man was begging for a rematch and now the roles have been reversed. However whether this shit happens this yr or next it needs to happen and these dudes need to be paid big time for the triolgy. I'll Holla 5000

You are right. The thing I like about this possible trilogy is that the fighters actually have gone and had other fights in between. I'm tired of back to back to back trilogies.

    Sure, probably a reasonable assumption.

But Pacquiao won't get 500,000+ numbers with just anyone....an opponent like Marquez is the one that will push Pacquiao's number WAY over the top.

Especially now....after their 2 fights; and now that Marquez is really beginning to get Mexican support and boxing-wide recognition.

    Peace.

I wouldn't mind a third match. I still think Marquez should earn the massive payday he's going to get by beating someone worthwhile in the interim.

Seriously why can't he fight a Valero, Guzman, or Soto on HBO while Pac is up at 135. He should be trying to keep attention on himself while he's negotiating for the trilogy match, not follow Pacquiao around begging for a fight. If he doesn't I could see Pacquiao - Casamayor, or Pacquiao - Juan Diaz being made leaving JMM on the outside looking in. I mean we know the Marquez camp doesn't make the best business decisions already, they should learn from their mistakes.

Is he just going to wait around like a hobo while Pacquiao is at lightweight collecting belts?

Sure - but remember that Pacquiao and Marquez have been paper-thin both times. Marquez is no worse than 1a. or 2. after Pacquiao at 130, though of course you have Guzman and Valero as well.

And I'm sure Marquez will be installed as the mandatory #1 for the WBC belt and maybe others.

It's risk/reward...if Pacquiao confirms that he'll either fight Marquez next or right after the Diaz fight; Marquez won't jeopardize that fight happening by taking on a very high risk opponent.

That wouldn't be the "best" business decision either.

Either way, I'm sure if Manny does take the Diaz fight, Marquez won't "sit around waiting" and will find a suitable opponent....the level of risk of it though, may depend on how close the Manny fight is.

Soto and Barrios would be good names to start with...I wouldn't mind either fight.

    Peace.

Marquez couldn't draw flies if he was covered in shit!!

I seem to recall not long ago Marquez not even getting a single bid on his fight with Chris John I think it was? Not even his own promoter bid at the purse bid.

Pac tells JMM to "Stop crying man!" hahah

this just in! good stuff . . . [IMG]

towards the end of the video during a radio interview. Pacman got fed up with JMM claiming that he won the fight and tells him "Stop crying man!"

you have to get through the ad first. there are subtitles so y'all can understand it.

Pac to JMM: Don't cry man!

commentator also says that Pac will consider rematch as long as JMM accepts the defeat and not to be a sore loser.

things are getting more interesting. heheh.

    LOL, don't cry Marquez.

Seriously, now that I think about it, the Marquez brothers cry too much, forget them. I hope Pac doesn't give JMM another big payday, back to $30,000 a fight for him. :stir:

Yeah, Rafael was fucking annoying in his post fight interviews with Vazquez. Israel was cool as a cucumber, and even defended Rafael's childish antics.

Did anyone notice that manny looked a couple of inches taller than Juan in that vid?
