Hopkins took the first 3 rounds, plus the KD, after that Joe adapted and it was pretty much all Calzaghe, plus Hopkins should have had at least a point taken off for the use of the head and holding, plus the playacting bullshit. Which would make it a 116-110 type decision. It wasn't that close to me, the Reid fight was much much closer imo.

You mean a younger version of Calzaghe with younger legs?

Calzaghe gets no respect from me for beating that shell of Jones. But he gets credit for beating Hopkins, who despite his age is still a top ten p4p fighter, at least one of the best two fighters at 175 right now and still capable of schooling undefeated, undisputed champions (Pavlik).

You think calzaghe's win over Hopkins means nothing? Try offering a similar fight and result to Pavlik and see waht he reckons...

Nah, I think you'll find that Reid got injured and had to take almost a year and a half out to recover. Of course, you knew this rather than just throwing some shit at Joe for not taking a rematch?

When did I say that?...It was a good win but styles make fights and clearly a younger Hopkins would have been better served (and won) against a fighter with Calzaghe's style. Are you debating this rather obvious point?
