If true, it is a bit gay yeah. Ultimately I think Jones, beast that he is in the ring, is a bit of a nerd. Not that dissimilar to GSP.

I genuinely hope Jones doesn't go down a diva-ish, cherry picking path. A guy as good and high profile as Jones could kind of pave the way for other top fighters to start doing the same thing.

 

You need to ask yourself, why would Dana even release this ? What does he have to win by making one of his champ look like a cry babay ? To me, it's a way to make Sonnen relevant again after being wiped out in the his second go at Silva. The rematch did huge numbers and showed that Sonnen wwe showmanship draw a certain crowd ( probablyi the wwe one ). Now, the UFC will spoonfed him another title fight to him and Sonnen is back to his usual tactics wich now have a far wider audience than it deserves

 

My answer to the question why would Dana release this info would be bc its no secret Jones is not his favorite person in the world right now. I agree with everything you said. How does it look once the WWE lights go dim and Sonnen is again smashed by an even bigger champion??

Also this (quite effectively, LOL) takes the attention off of Dana whom created a card based on one fight.

 

I don't think there's a lot, if any, contender at 205 that Sonnen can beat. I don't see him doing well vs biggers man who'll be more able to handle his strenght. White, if my guess is true, probably feel about the same way and won't risk him losing to a Shogun before cashing him out

Second, Sonnen has fought many times at light heavy and as recently as 2007. He's 6'1" and carries the weight well. He has a legit shot against anyone that can't wrestle at 205. I can see him beating Bader because Bader just isn't a good MMA wrestler. I don't care about his college background, the guy has terrible MMA wrestling.

Personally I'd love to see Rua-Sonnen. It may sound crazy but I give Sonnen a damn good shot. Rua can be controlled on the ground and gases easy. Both of those play right into Sonnen's hands.

 

You may have a point, as Rua looked like absolute shit in his last bout. But I wouldn't count him out.

Choof. Honestly I can't see why anyone would pick him over Sonnen. Vader Bader simply isn't very good, and its not like he dwarfs Sonnen. His slight size advantage would get eclipsed by the huge wrestling, skill, and talent advantage that Sonnen has over him. The fight would look similar to Sonnen Vs Stann.

I would pick Rua over Sonnen, but yeah I wouldn't be shocked at all to see Sonnen beat this version of Rua. Bisping is actually harder to take down and control on the ground than Rua.

 

Let's see if Sonnen can even get by Forrest and then we'll talk about how good he is at 205.

Look here Gladys, what I am saying is Sonnen is a fucking giant MW. His striking is also garbage. Moving up in weight, he's not going to just manhandle guys like he did to Brian Stann. What I am saying is at 205, even a lower level guy like Bader is going to be a hard fight for him. A bigger buy who can wrestle. You will see, just wait. Sonnen will never earn his way to a title shot at 205. He may be gifted one but he's not going to be shit at 205. A non factor in the division.
