Green annoys me as much as Mundine. He carried on like a dick after the fight.

I don't know what to make of some of you guys.

The dude won the biggest fight of his entire life and Im sure even fighting a guy like Jones Jr is a dream come true. Sure that kind of thing might seem trivial to an internet forum user, but unlike those who know better than even the fighters themselves...winning the biggest fight of your life can actually make you feel top of the world.

The 'biggest' fight of his life was against Mundine and he got killed.

Sure Jones was someone he looked up to and probably took a lot of personal pleasure in even fighting, but he was shot 100 times over.

I would have been really pissed at Ugotobe's spoiler title, but then Vs went ahead and spoiled the result on their own telecast. Idiots.

Who gives a shit if people percieve Jones as shot? He was still a 3:1 favourite with the bookies and bookmakers are FAR smarter than you or I. The result was a big upset. Simple as that.

And no, Green v Jones was a bigger fighter than Green v Mundine. What did that win do for Mundine?

That was unexpected for sure. I am happy that it was a quick KO instead of a long beating.

Okay, I don´t have any insight on the gullible-ness of the Australian public. Seems on pair with the German one.

Yeah, but Sturm is not the worst in Germany. We have Jürgen Brähmer, Sebastian Zbik and Dimitri Sartison, who are treated/regarded as legitimate world champions by major media outlets. And then we have women´s boxing, with ladies like Ina Menzer, who is the unified WIBF, WWBC, WWBA, WWBO, GBU, WIBA, WBF super-flyweight world champion. And the biggest chance she ever loses a fight against all these desperate housewives they feed her, is if she copllapses under her belt collection. And yes we are proud that she will TV-main event the hometown title defense of Robert Stieglitz against Edison Miranda. That´s boxing in Germany. You gotta love it. :hammert:

Every single fight of Anthony Mundine's career has been on PPV...including his debut against some dead beat homeless person.

Universum cards are paid for by the German population through monthly compulsory TV levies. We don´t even have a choice. We are worse off.

Oh sure , I didn't expect Danny to win either. But frankly, Green gives me the irrits when he starts raving on like he beat the best in the world and talking smack because some people doubted him. Grow up I say.

Disagree on your second point - Mundine vs Green had HUGE local significance, MUCH more than Green vs Jones. Every pub in the land was surrounded 10 deep by crowds trying to see through the windows (and that's being conservative). Whether it was significant for Mundine's career, well not really. It was significant in that he hosed his local rival who had been chasing him for years, in one of the biggest and most anticipated local derbies EVER, and made him look second rate.

Oh, Green v Mundine was the biggest thing since the wheel over here.

It sold a spastic amount of tickets and generated ridiculous PPV numbers for a 3rd world country like ours.

An article came out that Aussie homes are now the largest, on average, in the world. Congrats on your first step in overtaking us on the consumer escalator.:stir:

I went to the local pub to watch it and it had literally stopped traffic - crowds had spilled out onto the road blocking it completely, and the crowd surrounded the pub about 10 deep, it was nuts. As I walked home all the other pubs were the same. Some drunk guy gave me a sixpack of bourbon and coke for no reason except he hoped Green would KO Mundine, and I agreed.

I think there were more streetfights and broken pub chairs that single night than in the combined entire history of Australia. A few murders too.

Green - "I jus beat da greatest of all time in one round, when you beat a legend you become a legend, on a Mundine rematch, he'll have to do things my way."

He's unbearable now,..a true thorough, typical, oppurtune fuckwit business man,.. although I bet he'll continue to mask the same facade Ricky Hatton did,..the so called 'blue collar working class hero' moniker ..

I never thought I would side with Mundine in my lifetime,.. but your in debt to a wide, wide embarrasing decision loss Danny,.. so just make it happen you fucking fraud.

Well, considering the amount of shit Mundine has spoke of since beating Green and done ZERO to capitalise on it, I don't blame Green for wanting to make Anthony bend over to get another payday with him.

Mundine has next to no other options.

Yes, but acting like the king on the negotiation table, against a fighter who easily beat him infront of a monsterous Australian audience,.. as it stands, Green is the firmly inferior fighter in the minds of all who watched, to demand the lions share under these circumstances, reflects very poorly on him, even if the idiot domestic audience believe the lie that Roy Jones was currently the greatest fighter in the world and the greatest of all time,.. there's no erasing the memories of his thorough, humiliating loss to Mundine,... Does Danny want revenge, or is he giving us an indication that if he's going to cash out, it's got to be worth his while and much more. I think the latter is more on his mind.

There's also no doubt that Green is worth more than Mundine at this point in time, IMO.

Humiliating loss or not, Green's done more since their fight, in far fewer fights and looked better in doing it. The public remembers Mundine v Geale as well...and Anthony's done everything in his power to avoid that rematch and in doing so is murdering what little respect he has left.

Well if Danny wants to declare to the media, and to Mundine,.. Im better than you, Im richer than you, Im more popular, Im the draw, I make it rain, I've got alot of jewellry, cars and houses and ya'll dont know boxing,..directed towards a memorable 11 rounds to 1 loss no less,.. then, he can walk away with his head held high,.. and no doubt, gain some American fans in the process :crafty: .
