afaik, their first fight is not in the rotation of major traders.

    I could be wrong.

    Mistake

Nacho is a great trainer and one of my real boxing idols, arguably the greatest in Mexican history, but a very poor manager, and this is yet another example of a big mistake he has made.
Marquez would have potshotted wild swinging Barrios all night en route to a TKO victory, but in Juarez he is facing a one punch banger who can seriously put his lights out if he connects just right.
I think Rocky will rise to the occasion and jump JMM, and an exciting fight between two great Mexican competitors will emerge.

I think juarez will get thumped in a one sided fight.

I agree on your take regarding Nacho but how is it his fault this time? you say it as if they chose not to fight Barrios.

Reports are that Barrios failed an eye exam had step out of the fight. :dunno:

Barrios is a better and more dangerous fighter than Juarez. Barrios could have beaten Marquez straight up. Juarez will need luck.

If you really think Juarez will win, look for people to bet with. They won't be hard to find.

    I don't bet, bro.
I said that Juarez can get anyone out of there with one shot, anyone.
Barrios failed an eye exam, multiple retina tears, but I doubt he would have even been that competitive with Marquez as he is so wild, open, and easy to hit.
If Rocky jumps on him, it will be an exciting fight for the fans.
If he dosen't jump him, he is going to get beaten big on points.

JMM - Juarez will look like JMM - Salido, mark my words. Marquez will look unimpressive winning almost all rounds.

Sounds about right. Perhaps a combination of that and Barrera-Juarez II.

I don't see this being a very compelling night of boxing action. As big of a fan as I am of Kassim, I have very little hope that his fight with Mora will do any more than have people antsy for it to end and to get on with the main event. Forbes-Bojado might turn out to be a decent fight... but does anyone really care?

I agree, I'm a Marquez fan but I don't think I'll order that, it's not pay per view worthy at all.

Well, I can appreciate not betting, but it makes it a lot easier to talk shit if you aren't going to back it up.

That said, I disagree with your assessment, but your opinion here isn't so out-of-line that I think you're being facetious.

Juarez, imo, is a guy who hits hard, but not hard enough to rely solely on his power. And yet, he does.

    .....

Salido isn't like Juarez at all. Salido tries. (to the point of cheating (roids), the asshole).

It's actually a blessing Barrios pulled out...there's no incentive to buy it now.

As a Guerrero fan, seeing him fight Juarez was the most interesting fight to me.

I still don't think Juarez is nearly as much of a drop off (if at all) from Barrios.

It's like nobody gives him credit for (almost) basically going even up with MAB in the first fight...and I think people are mistaken if they think Marquez can just play it safe and coast to a decision the way MAB did in the rematch.

Rudy Perez had been working with Barrios and from what I saw he had improved alot on some of the most fundamental things

might have been interesting to see how improved he was

Nah I was wrong, I thought I had seen it, cause I know Cunningham/Bryan from the untelevised undercard does exist. I heard Pug/Professor is a bit paranoid these days, maybe he´s hiding his kingvision version in the basement.

Well, this does suck...I actually thought JMM-Barrios was a very compelling match-up, especially at 130 lbs.

JMM-Juarez isn't nearly as appealing or potentially competitive.

I'd love to see a JMM-John rematch, but don't think it will happen as the $$ isn't there for JMM and probably won't be enough for John in the U.S. at 130 lbs. (I'm sure JMM will not fight him in Indonesia again  ).

Of course, I'd love to see Pacquiao-JMM II as well.

    Peace.
