You mean he can win if the fight is refereed like the first N'dou fight.

And I find it hilarious that some journeyman dropped Juan and had him in tears.

A prime Hatton eats Diaz alive. Perhaps Juan has an edge in workrate, but it'd be no match for Hatton's strength, handspeed, and verocity. Hatton would have no reason to fear Diaz's power, and would come right at him and push him back, and punish his soft body.

Diaz was like 16 when that happened.

Believe me. Hatton would win. But it would be an excruciating fight to watch, and it would all be on Hatton as we know Diaz is an exciting fighter who doesn't need to hold every 20 seconds because he doesn't turn into a puffy slob between fights. Oh, and plus he knows how to box.

Not to be a nit-pick, but I'm not too sure about the word verocity either.

it's not a case of spell-check. it's a made up word. at least in the context in which it was used.

Oh shut the fuck up! I typed that post like 2 mins before I left the house, and was in a rush. I usually look over a post to spell check after I'm done, but I didnt even bother that time.

Anyway.... if we're talking about a peak Hatton, Ricky wouldnt need to hold nearly as much. Plus Hatton only grabs when he's in with someone who can hurt him, which Diaz cannot. For the life of me I cant see Diaz's soft body handling too many of Hatton's body shots.

Its VERY possible that Diaz would get the Castillo treatment.
