Juanma is a dumb fighter,he can make this fight somewhat easy by outboxing and countering Marquez. But Juanma will slug it out w/ Marquez...and give him a good chance of scoring the KO...

Juanma just need to sit back and counter punch, Marquez will walk into something sooner rather than later...

    I agree.

I hope sits back and jab and looks for counters rather than go to war with the old wolf.

I want Lopez to win because I think it is better for the sport, but I am picking Marquez, too. Juanma is good enough to starch Marquez, but I agree that it is not a good matchup for him.

Good fight on paper. Very good fight.

If anyone's going to be countering, it will be Marquez.

I think Juanma's speed with be the difference. Also it's hard to predict anything with Marquez because his only oponent the last 3 years has been Vazquez at 122 and 126 so I can't even measure the guy against the division just on his own talent and potential at 126.

I think Juanma stops him around the 9th round. Considering that Rafa has heart but has alot of miles in his body already.

I think because of his punching power, Raffy's speed has always been under-rated. He may be the fastest guy JuanMa will have faced. Plus, Raffy's proven he can deal with superior hand-speed.

This fight is really about what Marquez has left (which in all likelihood is not that much) and the fact it is at 126 (when Marquez has fought most of his career at 118).

For those reasons, JuanMa will probably win, and to the extent these factors are over-looked, he will get more credit for the win than he deserves, which makes it a win/win fight for fans and Top Rank. For the fans, they get to see JuanMa face someone they're all familiar with and who is an exciting fighter who "seems" like a threat. For Top Rank, their fighter gets to record a win over a seemingly good opponent in what will most likely be an exciting fight while it lasts.

Me, I'd rather see Juanma vs. Caballero.

I know. I'm not super high on JuanMa. I laugh when ppl compare him to the likes of Tito, and Cotto. But not only is Raffy chinny, but he's long in the tooth as well.

It is hard to gauge how good Rafael is at this point, given the only person he's fought above 118 is Vazquez basically.

But Lopez is so overrated it's unreal. Gamboa would fucking smash Lopez. Lopez almost got beat down by that Mtagwa guy that Gamboa obliterated.

Interestingly too, they looked the same size at the weigh in. Lopez is a pretty small featherweight.

Yup just finish watching the weigh in....I though Lopez would be the bigger fighter, but not the case they are similar size. Maybe Marquez is slightly taller...

Gamboa isn't an amateur, he's a professional, and he actually looks far more solid than Lopez as a pro.

Sorry but Lopez just isn't good. He looks sloppy and crap in pretty much every fight, and almost lost to Mtagwa.

    Gamboa destroys him.
