That was a terrible cut Rocky suffered as he will be on the sidelines for quite awhile now due to that, and I think that a Valero fight anytime in the near future is completely out of the question.
Juarez will probably be out of action until the earliest Summer of next year.

i'm not sure if you're talking about the same mosquera, but the guy i saw in ny beat the hell of out of a good tough fighter in Yodsnan 3K battery. Mosquera is faster and better all around than that plodder juarez.

in regards to mosquera-valero, i recall valero briefly taking a knee, but he wasn't seriously hurt. regardless, he came back in the next round and beat the hell out of a world class fighter for 10 rounds until the guy's corner threw in the towel.

also, where is this great power juarez supposedly has? if so, i havent seen it since the 3rd round of the first barrera fight.

valero kicks the shit outta juarez.

Valero was down in the 3rd and looked hurt and wobbly there.

And even though Valero was winning rounds, when Mosquera let his hands go he was extremely effective and large parts were very competitive.

Mosquera is a good fighter - albeit much more vulnerable than some people are making him out to be.

But the point is, I am not arguing that Juarez is better than Mosquera.

It's bothersome when people take ONE point and miscontextualize or generalize it to mean something else entirely.

Only thing I said is that I think, were Valero-Juarez to happen, that Rocky has a very good chance of hurting Valero along the way.

Valero is reckless and wide open when throwing his bombs -- and that would at some point - and likely several - allow Juarez to land his best, perfect left hook at close range.

    That's all.

If you don't agree, fine - but I've never said Juarez is better than Mosquera. I also never said Juarez would beat Valero.

    Peace.
