anyone know of a website or other handy resource which can provide a large amount of historical data on judges' scorecards? so you could look up, for example, all the judges' scorecards from heavyweight title fights over the past 30 years. i think you can look through boxers' individual records on boxrec and get some of this data, but it's a bit of a hassle.
Interesting question. The information surely has to exist somewhere but it's probably on either a state by state or association basis. For example Nevada might have records of only judges for bouts held there. Similarly of the sanctioning bodies might have their own. I doubt there's a global database available. It's also probably not something the powers that be would want.
I do recall one infamous scorecard posted at this very website. this chap had whitaker vs chavez a draw 119-119. 1 round a piece with 10 even
On a different site, there was a guy collecting these, but all he was doing was getting the final tally, not the round by round. That compromises the information to the point of almost uselessness, imo. Boxrec's database is superb and could be set up to do this without much programming effort. Entering effort would be colossal, though.
