Justice League encounters kryptonite at the Box Office

    Variety reports that currently the animated Pixar movie Coco is handily beating Justice League since it opened on Wednesday. The forecast is that 'Coco' will dominate its first five days debut with an estimated $70 million while JL will drop to the second spot with $60 million. Is too early to make accurate forecast but if both films continue performing like they are doing now those estimates will not be that much off.

    Agreed although I liked his performance a lot, lot less this time around as compared to BVS.

    In other news JL is doing pretty good overseas especially in China. Also at the theater I went to here in Japan it was showing on 4 different screens although I have no idea if it was selling tickets at that level. The theater was pretty empty on a Saturday afternoon.

    It is also underperforming overseas in comparison to 'Batman v Superman'. On its first weekend 'BvS:DOJ' did $254 million overseas. 'JL' did $185 million. That's $69 million less, which is no small change.
