I've noticed this more from watching him today. Against a better opponent (who actually will throw punches), he'll get countered.

He has good reflexes tho, but can't rely on this solely.

Read something this morning (think on Boxingscene) where berto's name was mentioned.

If I were DiBella I'd jump on that fight in a nanosecond. Berto knocks this guy out...and I'm no Berto fan. Berto might be all offense and no defense but the little I've seen of Brook he's not much of either.

I'd probably favour Brook to be honest. He ain't much, but Berto is even less.

I'd pick Brook over Berto too.

Berto is a dangerous opponent, but I like special K's chances in that one.

Im actually going to go against everyone on this thread and say Kell brook will out box Berto and probably beat ortiz too. He has actually come into the public eye in this division just at the right time. Both of these big names in the welterweight division are coming off bad defeats and could be there for the taking. In my opinion brook could to atleast take the third spot behind manny and floyd.

I'm not sure I'd agree based on the limited peek at Brook I've had but again...I'd like to see the fights rather than guess at it.

If Brook is any good there's a strong possibility he can be made into a viable opponent for Khoward in a year or so....assuming Brook is introduced in the states properly.

They are both nothing at world level.

I think it would be a pick em fight, to be honest if push comes to shove I think I pick Berto.

Why are people so hard on Brook. He just completely and utterly outclassed and stopped a guy who went 1:1 with Zaveck and has never been stopped before.

If you're a prospect these days and you get hit more often than Floyd Mayweather you have shit defense. No wonder boxing is in a bad state if everybody treats upcoming prospects like that.

    Good post.

Boxing fans are often bitches. It's just an easy position to take.

    Here's why it's so common:

    1. Grudgingly admit that 2 or 3 current top p4p fighters could have 'competed' with the past greats. This makes you objective.

    2. Call everybody else shit. Especially compared to fighters from previous generations.

    3. Criticize all wins except against the 2 or 3 mentioned above.

    4. Wait for losses to show how right you were.

    5. Blame the era when someone points out that your heroes had records like 45-20 and that's back when you had to earn a title.

    6. Criticize something about the current era. Generally, you should take the present and compare it to a 5 year span in the past to help make your point.

    7. Get proven wrong.

    8. Blame boxrec's stats.

    9. Change the criticism to something else about the current era.
