I'm sure in a rematch, Diaz would probably beat Noons. I don't think Noons is really that good of a fighter. But the first fight, Noons was beating Diaz every step of the way. He busted up his face. He dropped him with a punch. He had Diaz doing the gay Aoki butt scoot. He was stuffing Diaz's takedown attempts. Diaz had no answer.

If the fight continued, it would've been more of the same. Diaz doesn't have the power to KO Noons, and wasn't able to hit him enough for his pitty pat punches to have any effect. And he wasn't able to take him down or keep him down, so it was highly unlikely he'd be able to submit Noons. Especially since Diaz's submission skills are ridiculously overated. Ever since Gomi dove face first into a gogo, people claim that Diaz has great submissions, and that's just not the case. He went a span of something like 13-14 fights and only won one by submission, two if you want to count Gomi.

If they fought today, my money would be on Diaz. He has improved since he first fought Noons, while Noons has mostly been away from the sport. But that night, without question, Noons was the better fighter.
