Margarito was the longest reigning title-holder at 147, who had not long ago crushed the highly touted and gigantic Puerto Rican welterweight prospect Kermit Cintron, this was before Fraud declared himself welterweight champion after his Sharmba Mitchell victory,.......now,... you said before Fraud's fight with Zab Judah coming off that infamously embarrasing loss to Carlos Scrubdomir, that Margarito at welterweight was "Irrelevant", let us not forget, that this is the sequence in time where you first made this remark. Comparitively, Miranda has moved up to Super-middleweight after being virtually sodomized by 'a Euro' (Pavlik = Slovakian:crafty: ) in a weight class below him, and has fought one or two tomato cans,...Now how does Miranda shape up to the other potential opponents I listed for Kessler at supermiddleweight?. Why is Miranda the top opponent for Kessler in "proving" that he "really is the man" at supermiddleweight?...and is Miranda's current status at supermiddleweight, more significant than Margarito's was at welterweight, during the time in which you said he was "irrelevant"?.

 ?...Reed please...Kessler may not be the champ right now, much like Fraud wasn't, it's an opinion as to who's the best Supermiddleweight right now without proof in the ring, but Kessler, like Fraud was figured to be the best fighter in the division,............however,...according to you,..he didn't need Margarito,....and he wasn't a "heartless" "bitch" "pussy" for ducking him,... now please,...with that in mind, could you make sense of Kessler / Miranda to the contrary? .

Well my other two favourites, Mosely and Taylor, you keep leaving out of the equation, so maybe it's got something to do with nationality,..or perhaps.....race? :crafty:

I wanna see Kessler vs. Miranda too but to say Kessler is ducking him is just crazy talk.

I bet whenever this fight takes place and Kessler beats the fuck out of Miranda people will forget about the ducking and go back to calling Miranda a bum.

I agree i's a little sketchy but I can't inmagine Kessler figthing Calzague and ducking Miranda.

He must have other reasons. but to just assume he is ducking is crazy. maybe if I didn't know either fighter I can inmagine it but since I've seen both of them fight nothing can make me think Kessler is ducking him. :dunno:

Kessler came out to Australia with a fucked back and defended against Anthony Mundine in his hometown. He also travelled to Wales to challenge one of the best P4P fighters in the entire sport.

Edison Miranda is not going to insight any squeemish feelings in Mikkel Kessler. I'd say he's waiting out an ABC decision before he makes his next move.

    Precisely.

It makes no sense at all for Mikkel to fight Joe in his own backyard, give him arguably his toughest test to date, and then somehow be scared of Edison Miranda.

Then why even start negotiations when he's known for quite some time that Calzaghe was leaving 168 to fight Hopkins at 175? It's not like this is breaking news here, everyone has known Calzaghe is leaving the division.

It makes no sense for Kessler to begin negotiations with Miranda knowing full well that Calzaghe was leaving the division to fight Hopkins.

If he was going to wait out some ABC decision, why negotiate a fight in the first place?

As I said before, my guess is Team Palle has been in negotiations but likely something finally materialized or they were given an offer/scenario very recently.

Before that, they were likely negotiating fights/events in parallel to keep options open.

It may not be clean, but it's business and it happens...especially in boxing.

    But time will tell.

    Peace.

Yeah it's a compelling fight. Now we'll probably get Kessler - Froch or Kessler - Inkin for the WBC title, in a fight that won't be televised to people in the states.

    That makes business sense.

Exactly. Kessler stood to make a good payday fighting Miranda and it's great exposure to the US fans. It makes no sense for him not to take this fight. I seriously doubt he will make as much money and get as much exposure fighting anyone else right now. There are no names at 168.

Yup. Either Kessler is a pussy, or just making a bad business decision chasing an ABC belt. Either way, NOT fighting Miranda on a primetime U.S card is stupid.

To top it off, you would think with the entire boxinbg world calling you a pussy, you would make a damn statement to the media if he pulled out because something better came up as Donny and others are suggesting. I'd be coming out with a statement as fast as I could if I looked the way Kessler is looking right now. Only reason I can think of that he hasn't is because what we think is true. He's a pussy.

:nono: What we need is more fighters with obnoxious PR teams to constantly low-ball other fighters through the press so that they can ALL become "names". How many Warriors newsflashes have we seen during negotiations with Kessler's management??..

    NEWSFLASH

    Miranda: KESSLER IS PETRIFIED!

    NEWSFLASH

Miranda: Kessler is a chicken! he should hand in his horns!

(These released when unreasonable prices or options are not granted to them in ongoing talks).

    NEWSFLASH

    KESSLER DUCKS MIRANDA!

    It's pathetic.

Sure...like I said in my first post, if nothing else that is more compelling comes up in the next few days Kessler & Palle absolutely deserve all the criticism that comes their way.

All their demands were met AND like I said it's a hell of a fight and opponent to break into the U.S. market....Miranda is the perfect foil for that.

My point is - time will ultimately tell and we will find out.

    Peace.

Personally, I don't think Kessler should fight a someone as good and as hard-punching as Miranda coming off of a loss. Maybe his management came to their senses. Regardless, it looks bad.

Kessler could respond to them right? He's had a while to respond now and still nothing.

What really irks me about the whole situation is that Miranda's team and Showtime gave Kessler every concession from changing the venue, to changing the official date to give Kessler more time to train.

Now Miranda is stuck without a fight, part of a wasted training camp, and more importantly the public is robbed of a very compelling fight.

Yep it would look bad alright, "Hey I know that guy, he's that fucken tomato can that Pavlik destroyed"... it would be embarrasing to be seen in the ring with that.
