lmfao at the Baby Deer dance at the end of the 3rd round :atu:

Please someone make a gif of it.

It's funny just how wrong and misguided some of the opinions in this thread are like.

    "Khan should leave Roach" and

    "Khan should move to 147".

Khan is a boxbot with a glass chin. That's what he's always been, and that's what he'll always be. He is not a welterweight, he is a natural 140 pounder, and Roach has improved him as much as anyone could. Khan has the IQ of a fencepost, he's not going to become anymore skilled than this, or get better defense.

Also at 147 he'll be fighting naturally bigger men and I would imagine get KO'd in every other fight, that's not an exaggeration. His punch resistance has nothing to do with weight, he just can't take a punch.

Gotta admit I did feel a bit sorry for him for the first time, one thing that can't be denied is he has a FUCK load of heart. He was completely done after the 3rd round, and still fought on very bravely. He is the opposite of Ortiz.

Khan really is an overachiever, he has achieved a hell of a lot considering his strengths and weaknesses.

Yeah Khan is a gutsy kid. He could suffer serious neurological damage if he keeps getting flattened like that though (and there wasn't much to start with), outside of Pele Reid I've never seen someone react so badly to getting hit. It's like how a puppet moves when the puppeteer is having a seizure. He should call it a day.

True but again, we kinda need guys like Amir Khan y'know? Guys who can bring a bit of hype and attention to boxing. The sport is in bad shape and nobody's come up since the retirements/declines of stars like Oscar, Hamed, Morales, Barrera, Tyson, Holyfield, Lewis, Trinidad, Vargas, Jones, Gatti, etc who we all used to watch on Saturday nights back when there were hundreds of people on the forum at any one time.
Basically Pacman is just about ready to go, Mayweather also. The Klitschkos won't be around for much longer.
    The sport is dead.

Yeah, I will say this much, he's never packed it in and just quit. He's looked ridiculous trying to haul his spindly legs back under him, but he's never quit or rolled over. He's not got what it takes to survive but he does try to.

    Froch: "Khan needs to quit".

Notwithstanding the sly dig Froch had at Khan, {Khan used to go around calling himself the best fighter in Britain which upset the Sherwood Shuffler} Froch does have a point.

Time for Amir to sit down with Accountant Man Khan and see what's what, see how much they have put away, and see what they can do. He's not cut out for this pro game he was getting the Giraffe Tremens when he was an amateur and its not improved as a pro.

He's been brutally KO'd two times and never got back to his feet successfully on either occasion. Time to go down the analyst/newspaper columnist route.

Well, he could have omitted the crying and tweeting and babbling and such like, but for a guy who simply cannot take a punch he has tried hard to keep the ruse up, but the flesh has betrayed his heart. Time to pack it in. His IQ is low enough without losing brain cells into the bargain.

His ability to takea shot definitely improved fighting at 140. Him loosing to a guy like garcia ( who got schooled by morales) is very worrying for amir..

I was never a fan but kinda feel for the guy after last night. While he lacks certain skills for the pro game his team fucked up his career

Too much to soon, from the very first sky sports deal. They locked him into PPV fights forcing him to fight experienced / better fighters early in his career.

Hbo was in the middle of a severe hype job, acting like Khan was dominating, when bam! Thing is, Garcia had been looking to counter since the opening bell. It was his plan all along. He could easily have scored that ko in round 1 or 2.

Steward, as usual, actually saw how the fight was unfolding, and from very early commented on how Garcia was taking certain advantages.

Very true about the sparring footage Jimmy. I was watching that myself for the first time myself last night (hadnt seen any of the build up prior to then) and that little chubby midget fella was catching him over and again with hard shots, yet NO ONE seemed to be taking Amir to task over it. It was shocking. I've seen plenty of clips of Amir sparring Pacquiao before and he's always done well, didn't give Manny cheap shots like that.

It was serious, the guy was landing good hard shots on Khan and some were landing clean to the head. After seeing that I knew khan would be in trouble against Garcia's style, but I still expected Khan to win. Oh well.

Yup. He deserves full marks for his courage. He even tried to throw some hard shots back at Garcia. He's just not good enough.

Yeah, Garcia even said prior to the fight that it was his strategy. To punch in between Khan's sloppy, bullshit flurries.

    It worked.

Khan is done. Completely. His "style" has now been figured out far too many times.

He'll never have a defense, and he'll never have a chin. And he's in his physical prime right now, with handspeed being really the ONLY thing he has.

yes that is my POINT...that if he moves up to 147 he won't get wobble so much, he would go straight to sleep.

I don't seriously believe he should move up.......shit Garcia is nowhere near a power puncher...

He isn't a puncher really either so he is just a kayo waiting to happen. Here is to 147 so that he gets popped by bigger stronger guys. A mere con, always a mere con.

I will watch the replay later, but if I remember correctly Khan was punching with intentions in the first round, none or very few of those gay ass flurries. But by round 2 he was already stop/jumping in/flurry back straight off...repeat...

Jimmy has it in his signature, Khan was in the middle of one of those sloppy stop/jump/flurry moments when he got drop the first time.

Weird shot that dropped a mere khan. It hit his neck and mandible.

Khan's best punch is his left hook to the body. That's the only punch he has pretty good power in.

Other than that, his power is nothing special at all.

Khan probably wouldn't last more than 3-4 rounds against someone like Berto.

In fact, I could see Berto stretching him within 1-2.

Freddie Roach has really done NOTHING with Khan. But I guess i can't blame Freddie too much. Khan is just dumb as a flag pole.
