You could be right about DeGale, who knows, but you're very, very wrong about Guzman.

He sucks, he couldn't even beat Funeka without weight cheating.

Guzman is rated right now, ie not very highly. For years he was possibly the most overrated fighter in the sport.

That some people thought he stood a chance against Pacquiao literally makes me feel sick. Acute stupidity.

Man, Maidana really is one weird looking mutha, such an odd face.

I really hope he sparks Khan, and after some reminders via highlights he has a good chance.

He's not as crude and scrubby as people like to make out. He's also not as slow, he has respectable speed for 140, plus he has heart and balls.

His chin isn't great, but I don't think Khan is much of a puncher. He just has very quick hands that stun people.

As I said in the other thread I'll be happy to back my opinions with money given the right fight. The first Funeka fight was a guy dead at the weight and the second was a case of over compensation in the judging from the first. I thought he won both (having actually paid attention to what punches landed).

I'd certainly favour Khan over him due to styles, but come forward guys like Ortiz and Maidana would be toast.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say Khan stops this guy in the 1st round.

Ortiz who knows , but Maidana would beat the shit out of him. He's simply not very good.

We talked about Berto recently, I think Berto is significantly better than Goozman.

If Ortiz shows a bit of heart tonight in whatever respect, I would also pick him to beat the shit out of Guzman.

In fact, although Ortiz has a quitting mentality, in terms of overall ability as a boxer he's better than Guzman in every single way.

Ortiz is better than Guzman defensively?

Guzman would batter Maidana worse than Khan's almost certainly about to.

Defense could be the ONLY area where Guzman has an advantage, but even then, he looked plenty hittable against Funeka, ie the only half decent fighter he's fought recently, with decent accuracy etc.

Everything about Guzman is average at world level, I have no fucking clue how the hype started with this guy.

I'll be happy to bet with you if he fights any of the top 4 guys at 140, I pick them all over him without hesitation, and don't even think he'd be competitive with any of them apart from Maidana, but even Maidana would beat him.

For a while I've considered Guzman and Arabham to be the two most overrated fighters in the sport.

You saw what happened with Arabham, and you'll see with Guzman if he fights any of the top guys at 140.

Pretty much. I can't believe anyone picked him over Ortiz to be honest.

Yeah yeah, he quit, but he can fight, and is clearly much better than Peterdude.

Ortiz can fight, but does have mental problems. Gets discouraged easily, and took his foot off the gas against Peterson. If he stepped it up, he could step Peterdude easily.

Ortiz has a suspect mentality, but at least he showed some heart, after getting outboxed and hurt in the middle rounds, and coming back to finish the fight strong.

Oh and feebs, me'll pm you da link innit.

I don't know about that Joe.

Ortiz DID screw up, no doubt, just got discouraged in the middle rounds and let Peterdude into the fight, but he won at least 5 rounds without the knockdowns, so it was a robbery really.
