Nope. I have, like my Comrades at the Guardian Newspaper, a little sliding-scale all worked out for that one.

Judah waxing Khan is clearly the most beneficial result.

Indeed, the fact that Britains finest fighter since Randy Turpin is running around fighting the Gator McCloskeys and Zab Judahs of this World is already most advantageous to my cause.

No head-scratching here, Ifktihar. :nono: :kidcool::

so I've noticed.. I hate to say it, but I think he'll be happy with the result of this fight. I can't see Amir taking even a diminished Judah's best, and at some point he will have to do just that. This is a dangerous fight for Khan, but if he does win, I will give him a lot of credit for it.

Indeed. Unfortunately I am in a very long queue in that regard. A Sikh guy and a Bangladeshi guy just told me to wait my fucking turn.

You are missing the point, Zulfiqir.

The fact that the fight is even being made is of amusement to me.

Khan could win in one round and I would still be laughing.

    "Deep Division" my ass.

It's "Zulfiqar." Also, what is the point of addressing me with random names of Muslim/Subcontinental origin? It makes you look stupid(er).

I forgot about the "heavyweights are awesome, it's all the other divisions that suck" agenda being pushed by you. That makes you look like a dumbass too.

The heavyweight division is average. 140 is just worse. Yet the heavyweights have a 50,000 seater stadium fight coming up.

Judah was blown away in 2 rounds 10 years ago by Tszyu. Yet he is next in line for Khan.

Guys like Judah weren't making the grade 10 years ago. A guy like McCloskey would have been food for powder if he fought prime Hatton.

McCloskey needed a lot of rounds to do away with Lauri, the guy that Hatton and Witter both blew away years and years ago.

The division is simply nowhere near the level it was, yet we are told it is doing great things.

Alexander vs Bradley was a bust. Khan vs McCloskey was a farce..

People's willingness to watch fights is not necessarily a testament to the quality of those fights or fighters (eg, any Klitschko fight in Germany).

The Klitschko/Haye fight is the first remotely interesting and relevant HW fight in maybe a decade. 140 has had many such fights in the past 10 years.

Further, like all lower weight classes, the 140 division is much less static than HW (which is just HW, nowhere to really go from there). Guys at that weight will often shuttle up and down to face other guys who are shuttling up and down. So 140 can't really be grouped by itself in the same fashion as HW.

Saying Judah was blown away in 2 rounds is kind of disingenuous, because that punch puts away Judah at any point which it lands. It just happened in the 2nd. Tszyu was not exactly dominating Judah prior to landing that punch.

Keep in mind also that Tszyu is considered a very good to great champion at 140. Corey Sanders was not a very good to great champion at HW, nor was Lamon Brewster. I might be giving you too much credit here, but I don't think I need to go further with that.

Anyway, since he got blown away in 2 rounds many years ago, Judah has held the undisputed 147 lb title and fought in a number of entertaining fights. No world beater, to be sure, but talented, yes, and more importantly, often entertaining. Unless you like watching long sequences of jabbing and grabbing (Wlad) or a giant awkward robot beating up fat midgets (Vitali), the HWs are never entertaining, not at a championship level.

You keep citing McCloskey. McCloskey was a tune up on the way to fighting Bradley. This fight was supposed to be Khan vs Bradley, which IS a big and interesting fight (imo). It's not really Amir's fault that Bradley bitched out. Judah is an acceptable substitute in the eyes of most ("most" being those who don't see every thread as an opportunity to proselytize about the health benefits of swallowing Klitschko man goo).

I want Zab to win this fight...would be a nice comeback story. I was never a Zab fan, but I'd like to see him get a meaningful on his way out the door.

Khoward will have Golden Shower Promotions behind him and if worst comes to pass...he'll simply rebuild himself in England and make decent coin back where he belongs.

i think khan's going to beat him down. zab might a little dangerous early on, but i expect khan to bust zab's face as he did w/ malignaggi later in the fight.

would be great to see judah win though.

paulie can't punch and Khan looked a little bruised up after the fight. Zab can pop.

Maidana's a better puncher than Zab but for the most part he is/was predictable. Zab can counter effectively.

Might be wishful thinking but I'd like Zab to win this.

zab's a little predictable himself after the first 4 rounds or so. he got away with it in the past due to his speed and power, but his reflexes have gone down and his face seems to bust up easier than before. plus, i expect khan to do his share of landing hard shots and i can't remember the last time or anytime where zab was able to recover from a beating to score a knockout.

Khan will stay on his jab and look to outbox Zab. The one thing Zab still has is a damn good left uppercut. Roach won't allow Khan anywhere near Zab to get caught with that shot.

he seems to miss that uppercut often, but you're right, when he lands, it's devastating. didn't cotto immediately resort to lowblows after getting hit?

i saw zab's last fight against that tall african dude, but while he won in a brutal fashion, he was still losing the fight i thought. and the round before he won, he got clocked and was wobbled.

khan's in a different class than mabuza, so there's no telling how much judah really has left going in against top opposition. oh, and we all saw how much he struggled in scraping past that argentinian dude.

i didn't see the Mabuza fight so can't comment.

I saw the other fight when he won the title...he didnt' struggle as much as he faded late...was knocked down late. Plus...that guy can hit...in fact, I think he beats Alexander. I don't believe Khoward cracks that hard plus his footwork isn't that great.

And yes...Cotto went into Tito low-blow mode after getting buzzed by an uppercut.

For instance, Judah's 33, Sergio Martinez is 36 and looks much younger than Judah.

Has Martinez taken half as much punishment as Zab?

    Theres your answer.

Zab has been effectively past his prime since the Cotto beating.

Theres absolutely ZERO doubt in my mind that the Zab that fought Floyd would destroy Khan within a few rounds.

Khan only has a chance now because Zab is nowhere near that fast, and sharp anymore.
