Kirkland vs Alvarez

Although Canelo's defense is not perfect it's still better than Kirklands his punches come straighter and I think he will find a way down the middle all night. His chin is imo also better.

How this is suposed to be a toss-up to anyone I have no idea. If the fight was made right now I'd guarantee the odds would be no less than around +300 for Kirkland...


Of course Kirkland with his wild sloppy haymakers could land a fight ending punch - but that's pretty much it, imo.

 

I would go with Alvarez. I think he's a flawed boxer but a good fighter, I think he would swing to the death, and let's face it, Kirkland is no great shakes. I think Kirkland wouldn have struggled to improve on the result Alvarez got last night. Redzers chin isn't mush either, he took a flush right hand from gy, it hurt him, but its not like it buckled him.

A lot of his being "winded" is due to the excitement factor- he gets wound-up trying to "represent" for his home fans.

I say a Leopard doesn't change its spots- Kirkland is still a chinny dude with a pretty average box of tricks.

 

It would be a fun fight while it lasted but I don't think Alvarez has too much of a problem with Kirkland.

 

I'd pick Ginger by stoppage, but I dont think it'd be the walk over alot of yall expect.

Kirkland would give him HELL, and probably badly hurt him. If Ginger is a front runner, he'll fold. But I'll give him the benefit of the doubt, and say he has heart. Ginger isnt too good in a boxing match with an elite fighter, but something tells me he'd like to be in a war.
