You just proved my point, and that point is that this guy is not yet ready for Wlad, perhaps he will in the near future, but if they were to fight right now, Wlad will seriously knock him the fuck out, and if you don't believe that, I suggest you switch to watching WWE instead of boxing.

Povetkin might be the real deal down the road, but right now the dude is not ready for Wlad, not yet.

It wasn't a waste of time.:nono: It showed finally that Wlad can avenge his own defeats and that his jab is second to none. Brewster's a tough guy but his best days are behind him. Would've been much better if Wlad could've scored a KO though.

 

Mid 2008 he´ll be ready. Of course I´m not talking about this year, but besides Chagaev and Peter, who are not available, nobody can challenge Wlad anyway, so we may as well skip 2007.

That's all I'm saying, I'm not dissing Povetkin, I just think he needs more fights and more experience, but right now it would not be wise for him to fight Wlad.

Why rush and potentially harm the career of a good up and coming prospect by rushing him in too soon with an experienced and established champion such as Wlad?

Letting Povetkin keep improving would be the smart thing right now.

Ok, this second post of your makes more sense, but Holy is not just too old, but he's too ring worn as well, I don't like the way he's talking (slurred speech), he's been one of my favorite fighters, I always liked him a lot more than Mike Tyson, I just don't want to see him get hurt, that's all.

I don't want this fight to happen just because Holyfield is game and brave, I don't want this fight to happen because I don't want to see Holyfield get hurt.

I hope it dosen't happen as well, but Sean O'Grady told me and Pug after the Oquendo fight that he expects the fight to happen as Evander is still the big money draw at heavyweight due to his well known name and popularity.

I can't believe that he would threaten to stop the fight after 3 freakin rounds with no cuts, no knockdowns and without Lamon ever being seriously stunned.

Yeah sure Lamon was getting beaten to the punch and eating jabs, but how about McGirt trying to inspire his guy to greatness instead of giving him a cozy way out of the fight..

Seriously, did McGirt think he was training Chris Byrd? Lamon Brewster gets hit in fights. He got hit against Krasigni. He got hit even more againstn Lyakhovich. But guess what, he didn't have a guy in his corner during those fights that was dying to throw in the towel after 2 or 3 bad rounds.

I know the counter arguments that are sure to come about Buddy saving Lamon additional punishment and the standard "living to fight another day" crap. But this is boxing and the participants are paid to sometimes take punishment.

As I said, if this is going to be Buddy's standard method of operation, then he needs to take up coaching in a less violent sport.

Buddy did try to inspire his boy. But his boy didn't change it up, he just continued doing the same thing and got plastered round after round. It wasn't gonna help Lamon to just get hit like that continuously.
