Sven Ottke loaded his gloves when he fought Joe Gatti.

Joe Rein and George Kimball......another two who picked Lacy inside the distance.

At least they had the dignity to not proclaim Lacy "overrated" at the first sign of trouble.

    Said Joe Gatti

If I just had been KO'd by Ottke, I would be looking for excuses too.

Next Week: "The Scales Never Balanced Neither" - Joe Gatti.

Listen, you stupid Irish cunt, there is a difference between having AVOIDED guys and NOT FOUGHT them.

What part of that do you so routinely struggle with??

Yeah, we've been through this before and no amount of reason would shake you from your insistence on believing that people thought Lacy was a great fighter (you're so desperate for this to be a feather in your cap that you flat out lie and pick Lacy over Froch)

my my pick was Lacy via close decision largely because Calzaghe had looked like garbage and Lacy was fairly strong if nothing else... It was the wrong pick... Calzaghe fought better than he had in a while and Lacy turned out to be shittier than I had imagined and the rest of his career continued to vividly illustrate his scrubiness ... Hindsight is 20/20 ... Lacy got some hype from writers but I never felt like he got much from forumites... It turned out to be misguided, his career overall proved he was a shitty fighter... You could find 100 examples like that and it wouldn't mean a thing ... Is beating Michael Grant a huge deal for Lennox Lewis because a lot of dumb sportswriters hyped him as the next big thing? Of course not, the guy was a mediocre fighter

it saddens him that wald pussy doesnt receive the type of respect/adulation that Kovalev is getting.

the cost of doing business for fighting like a faggot.

He absolutely avoided real challenges by feasting on no name mandatories ... I've levied the same criticism at Roy Jones, but unlike Calzone, he humiliated his no-names and actually whupped some real fighters before he started defending against the Rick Fraziers of the world ... Tell us again about how awesome calzoni's victory over the old ass (and overrated anyway) Chris Eubank was

Irish thought we hated wald pussy because he's white and from Yurp, not because he's a big wald pussy.

Because the general consensus here is that he's quite good and we like watching him fight... Believe me, if there was anti-Kov sentiment here, Irish would love the motherfucker... He's mad because we aren't reacting to him the way his long held theories say we are supposed to

    :eek:hno:

Not overrated at all, he's actually underrated. Before vegetablising Watson, he was a brilliant fighter. Never quite the same afterwards.

I'm not the biggest fan of his fighting style, but he could really fight, had excellent power, and a very good chin.

While always ignoring, humorous comp aside, that Vitali was pretty much unanimously respected

wald pussy is a stinking wald pussy so we hate the guy ... If he was from Baltimore and called Rodney "Sho' Nuff" Walker and had the same style and career, we'd all hate him

He was the only one of the Brit and Irish middles who never tested himself against any of the Americans ... I hold it against him

I still think I'd pick Sho' Nuff head to head because he's from Baltimore.

Yeah that's fair enough, but honestly, at his peak I think he's one of the best British fighters ever.

There's probably a dude named Rodney Walker in Baltimore... Even with no boxing experience and assuming he's of totally average size, I still like wald pussy to hold him and lean all over him about 30 times per round and take a good 4 rounds to get him out of there

Whoever was ranked in the top 50 from the United States would have slapped Eubank around.
