P4P came with SRR when people would speculate, givin his abilities and talent, how he would fair in heavier divisions because he was considered the best boxer, and the best boxer would be compared to the "best division" on how he would do with the attributes he possesses......

All you are confirming is WHY Heavyweights must be included. It would make ZERO sense for SRR to be evaluated as to how he'd do as a Heavyweight IF Heavyweights weren't compared with him comparitively.

Your ignorance on this matter is astounding, yet you are convinced that you're making sense.

O K. this silly argument is over. i dont know how you define p4p. that shit is something that people made up.

i generally consider a guy p4p #1 based on consistency and how he wins.

maybe i won't use the term p4p anymore (which i rarely do in the first place) and just say so and so is the best fighter in the world imo.

Actually I've read that Tony Canzoneri was called "the best pound-for-pound" in the 1930s, before Ray Robinson's career really took off.

I'm not sure how accurate those reports are, I don't have too many old Ring issues or old articles from the 30s.

Roy Jones, end of discussion  Not that I get into this p4p crap either, but if I did.....based on his abilities, he'd be number one. All the rest do not matter, because #1 is #1
