I hate LL......but he'd punch a hole through Tito's forehead.... Yeah, if Tito is petrified of Chuck's 'striking prowess'....he piss his pants vs LL
Wow these UFC fanboys act like these guys are invincible. Like its totally out of the relm of possibility that a boxing HOF'er with a size advantage could do shit to an average MMA fighter like Ortiz.
I read some of that thread, sounds like a bunch of little kid groupies. They've probably never even seen Lewis fight. It's threads like that, that should make us proud to be boxing fans and not MMA fans.
The people at sherdog seem to think boxers are fake fighters. Reading them one would think that knowing how to perfectly throw a punch is useless against anyone who knows how to takedown effectively.::
and they also seem to think that if the takedown is successful..that the boxer would not know what to do...:dunno: let me see he will keep throwing punches...:notallthere:...
If Lennox hasn't done any mma, and there's no reason to believe he has, Ortiz would beat him over 9 times out of 10 when Lennox is in shape. Right now, I'd guess Ortiz would beat him 10.5 times out of 10.
:: :: :: :doh:Lee Murray beat the hell of Ortiz in a street fight, and a lot of MMA stuff is uselles in a street fight. LL, in all probability, destroy him and quite easilly. And if the story is true, you just made yourself look like a clown.
Sherdog is the haven for idiot poster whod like to think they are tough guys, as someone said, most of them probably have never seen LL fight.
Yep :bears: Let's face it, what's going to be more effective in a street fight, trying to manoeuvre someone into position for a fucking triangle choke, or landing one of the best right hands in the history of boxing? Lewis would fucking destroy Ortiz in a street fight. Ortiz, who couldn't handle China Chuck's wild shitty haymakers :jester: is going to be Lewis, I don't think so. Lewis lands that right hand cannon and boom, Ortiz is gone.
Why is it always "boxers will lose because they have no mma experience" but mma guys will never lose because they are not an all-time great heavyweight boxer and mma guys never get KO, especially by a light hitting heavyweight like Lewis :notallthere:
Before I call you a stupid fuck, I'll let you fill in the details that might mean you aren't. From wiki: "A legend in the streets of London, rumored to have won hundreds of street fights, Murray got into a scuffle with then-UFC light heavyweight champion Tito Ortiz outside of a nightclub in London after UFC 38 in July 2002. Both drunk, Murray claims to have knocked Tito down (possibly KO) and kicked him in the face." Okay...a street fighting legend, ALSO an mma fighter, wins a street fight with Tito while BOTH ARE DRUNK and this is supposed to be relevant to what Lennox would do? Please fill in the blanks because using this as an example to counter what I said is pretty ridiculous. Let me give an example that is a little more (big understatement) relevant: Rahman took Lennox down in their studio brawl and Lennox looked hapless and helpless. When your ONLY hope is landing a KO punch before a clinch, it doesn't matter if you are Lennox Lewis, your odds aren't good against another professional fighter.
Uh, let's also put the Rahman event into perspective as well, the table was behind him.....you push someone with something behind them....they will fall over. You go to the ground, you put your feet up so they can't attack you, which Rahman didn't :dunno: How can anything that Lewis did be considered "wrong and a boxers ignorance" :notallthere:
LOL, Rahman didnt win shit vs Lewis on the ESPN studio, unless you are a biased clown wich you very well seem to be. Dont like my Murray-Ortiz ( and if you think Murray take LL in a street fight, youre one dillusionnal individual)example, take Holmes-Marrero, it fit even better. If Id be as idiotic as you, I could easilly say : when your only chance to win is to pass through a barrage of punches in hope of taking the other guy down, wich he can very easilly avoid by grappling some object ( rope and fence holding are illegal in MMA ), pokin his eyes or a groin hold|shot youre chance to win are very slim. But I am wise enough to know that a world class fighter, in a proven discipline, got a chance vs anybody if the weight are similiar. But the fact are, LL is a much better athlete , have a far bigger range, faaaaaar more talented and is also bigger than Ortiz, my guess is that LL starch him. If you think Ortiz takes him, fine, but dont pass it off as fact, you only make yourself look like an world class idiot. And if the story turned out to be true, will you admit that your a clown who doesnt know what hes talking about or will you try to spin it. BTW, your use of insults really show how desesperate and pathetic you are, its the internet mate, you wont intimidated or impress shit
My only insult was calling you a stupid fuck for bringing up a (possibly/seemingly/probably) irrelevant example to support your claim. And you backed off of it. Of course, now you try to follow it up with Carmelo Marrero. So here's the challenge...tell us why Carmelo Marrero's performance against a boxer has anything to do with how Tito Ortiz would do? An untrained-in-mma boxer doesn't stand a reasonable chance against a world-class mma guy in a real fight. It isn't speculation, it's just the nature of the sports. Of course, in the only version I found about the Marrero/Holmes fight, it claimed Holmes was a 'great' wrestler back in the day which would make it even less relevant than it already is...
You know, when you use quotation marks, you're supposed to be quoting something. I don't think you are.
Lol, I didnt backed of from anything, talented mma fighters would, in all probability, have a winning record vs talented boxers in MMA, but MMA isnt real fighting, its fighting under a specified environnement with a lot of rules, in the streets, its a whole new argument, jiu-jitsu, for example, is far less usefull threre, but boxing skills do tranlate very well. And if an untrained MMA boxer ( his ground game is pathetic and dont use the kimora win over Zululand to try to hype it ) like Butterbean can do very well for himself in MMA, much better than its boxing career in fact, or if a coked, fat, untrained, shot Stephane Ouellet can, under MMA rules, anhilate a dude, reverse while on the bottom a stong regionnal fighter before being dqed for headbutts, I dont see why LL couldnt do very well for himself. Edit : Found the video of Ouellet, who didnt train for fuck, reversing Peter before getting dqed for headbutt http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z4P9jT-6IrQ
You know, when you dodge your reasoning.....I'd expect name-calling....but I guess this was the second best thing ::
I saw a few minutes of Dancing with the Stars and gave up Worst of all is that I might have to actually watch the apprentice.
