Lewis was a Great Fighter, plain and simple.
Like esk, I was never a real fan of his, but he is one of the All Timers, IMO.

I seriously doubt that. But even if he was favorite, it would not matter because the man would find a way not to face the best.

He could not even face Ruiz or Byrd but you think he would step into the ring with a prime Louis, Liston, Foreman or Ali? You need to take the red pill and just wake up.

I meant that his chin was suspect in the Lewis fight. Not that he had a suspect chin.

Tim Witherspoon had a suspect chin when he fought Bonecrusher Smith but other than that I don't think his chin was suspect at all.

I don't know what was wrong with Ruddock that night but he fought terrible. Even Frazier looked a lot better when he was getting destroyed by Foreman.

You can think that Lewis beat a top Ruddock in top form but I will simply disagree.

It was a good fight and a good performance and I give him credit but no way in hell was it like Ali finding a way to beat Foreman for example.

As far as Ibeabuchi, you are simply wrong. His fight against Tua was unbelievable. How can you be a boxing fan and talk bad about that while in the same sentence talk good about Lewis's peformance against Tua?

I will not even argue that because it is absurd.

As far as the betting lines on the fight, i'm pretty the money would be if not even, very close. And the "smart" money would be on Ibeabuchi.

I don't speak retard as well as some here, so can somebody translate esk's last post for me. Is he saying some fighters have suspect chins in some fights and not in others? :dunno:

Blaming Lewis for the Bowe fight not happening is crazy. Bowe would rather jump off a tall building then get in the ring with Lewis as a pro.

There's Only 2 Heavy's that REED would Favor Over Lennox, Head to Head...Cassius Clay & Prime Mike Tyson...

Lennox is Undoubtedly 1 of THE Greatest Heavy's Ever, but Historically, REED Rates him Towards the BOTTOM of his Top 10...

RESUME & Lack of IMPACT on the Division Being Lennox's Faults...REED Holds Some of the More TRANSCENDENT Heavyweight Champs N HIGHER Regard than he Does Lennox...

As Such, while REED would PICK Lennox to BEAT Joe Louis 8 Times Out of 10, REED Ranks Louis HIGHER than Lennox...

   , you mean the man with a whopping great PRIME of around 2 years against complete and utter tomato cans?.. You help solidify why Mike Tyson is and forever will be, the most overrated farce boxing has ever known, for fuck sakes, Tyson isn't even a top ten heavyweight  !!!.

Fair enough about Clay :nono: that is your opinion, but he pulled a 'zoo' less we forget.

As USUAL YOU Suffer from Tooooooooo Much "TROLL" & NOT Enough "SUBSTANCE" ...

WHEN Did REED list Tyson OR ANY OTHER Heavy OVER Lennox???:dunno: ...All REED Said is that he'd Pick a Prime Mike Tyson & Ali to BEAT Lennox, Head to Head...

Honestly, U USED to B AMUSING, Kauki...Now U're Becoming an IRRITANT...Like JOCK ITCH...

Ali Pulled a Tszyu???...Yeah, O.K.... ...He was 38 Years Old, had NO Inclination to TRAIN Anymore AND NOTICEABLY Exhibited Signs of Parkinson's Syndrome...

But by ALL Means, if it Makes YOU Feel BETTER about Tszyu Tapping Out SILENTLY vs. Hatton, so B it...U Can Probably Find SOME Redeemable Quality about Abdullaev's QUITJOB vs. Cotto as Well, No Doubt:rolleyes: ...

If your ONLY Way to Getting Noticed is by NUTHUGGING Lesser Known Cats &/Or BLATANTLY Irritating Peeps, then RETIRE Immediately,Dog...

That is EXACTLY what he is saying. Which shows exactly how much of an ass he is willing to make of himself in his never ending efforts to bash Lewis.

Utterly ridiculous. If we went by this method, anytime someone fought without getting stung or knocked down we'd say they had an iron chin. Knocked down? Well in that fight, he was a chinless wonder.

It's strange to know that I was amusing once upon a time, but I can barely remember what exactly I was??, or what I'm supposed to be??, gods honest truth, it's like I woke up one day and people are telling me ...."You've changed"......:dunno: real resentful like, ....there has been medication between timeframes.

:nono: You should not be irritated, it's a pity, personally, when your jumping up and down on Margarito's place in this sport, I'm bouncing around with a tongue hanging out like picnic day for the pooch, conflicting opinions are what makes the messageboard breathe, :nono: embrace the status quo.

Lewis fought everyone he could have been expected to fight, including two of the most highly ranked HW's of all time (Tyson and Holy). It's hard to criticize his resume IMO on the grounds that he couldn't do much more than he did. You have to remember that after the McCall loss, he was avoided like the plague. Once he lost his belt, all the other top guys (Bowe especially) had the perfect excuse to stay well out of Lennox's way. He was effectively ostracized for four years...

...although he 'ducked' Byrd and Ruiz, of course

Whilst I would pick Cassius Clay to beat Lewis, I can't see how any version of Mike Tyson beats Lennox. And I seriously believe that Mike knew it too- remember, this is the man who paid Lennox a multi-million pound 'walk away' payment some five years before he actually got into the ring with him so that he could defend his title against Holy instead.

Tyson was tailor made for Lewis, IMO. His (Lewis') height and reach advantage would have seen him keep Mike at arms length for the duration, keeping Mike out of harm's way and in range for Lewis' straight right hand all night long. Lewis might have been more cautious then he was when they actually did fight and it would likely have gone the full twelve, but the result would have been the same IMO.

you all know I hate Lennox..

but I was talking about it the other day with a good friend of mine..

Lennox COULD have been great, for a BIG guy he had an arsenal of punches, jab, right, uppers.. he could control distance well, good punch..

I think why I really really REALLY hate him is beacause he just acted so gay..

you know, if Lennox Wanted to and had it in him, he could have KO'd a lot of guys he didn't! he could have KO'd Tua for sure but fought like a bitch. he could have KO'd Holy.. Bowe did it
he shouldn't have ducked Byrd and Ruiz. Say what you want about Ruiz but he fought Holy as good as Lennox.
Manny said numerous times publically that they did not want Lennox to fight Byrd becasue Manny thought Byrd could beat Lennox, that it was a bad style match up. stuff like that.. makes Lennox not look like a champ but a CHUMP
plus he got KTFO by McCall and Rahman and he really did not honestly get them back, MCcall had a breakdown in the ring and Rahman didn't even train. Add on to that the life and death fight with Mohawk bum who was literally dieing before the fight and almost getting KO'd by Shannon Briggs.. Lemmon just is a disapointment and a disgrace

as big George would say "No doubt about it"

The Klitchos are kinda gay, remember that magazine where they were cuddling each other buck nakid? :eeeek: but they don't really act as gay as Lennox did

I call bullshit on that. Looking how ridiulously easy time Wlad had with Byrd it is impossible to see why Lennox would have needed to avoid him.

it seems silly, but on TV on more than one time Manny went on about how he has known the byrd family for years, since Chris was a little kid and how they would not want that fight becasue Byrd could get Lemmon real problems..

I just think that is a bitch move
