Right about now, PBF is asking himself: Let me think. If I bail on the Mosley fight, and fight Juan Diaz instead, are my fans stupid enough to still buy tickets? Are writers blind enough to leave me at the P4P #2 spot? Will Jim Lampley still talk about me as if I were a phenom?
Either one is fine by me. Just fight anyone that matters, it's really not asking that much of the best fighter in the world is it?
Stop complaining them that he's not fighting ONE of them. He can't possisbly fight BOTH of them at the same time, can he?
huh? I'm happy. In fact, when PBF first indicated he was fighting Pacquiao, I was disappointed because I would've preferred he face Mosley.
You said (and I quote) Well, guess what? Mayweather fucking signed. Are you going to apologize and admit that PBF shitted all over you?
What excuse are you going to come with after he beats Mosley? Afterall you're the same guy that INSISTED that Floyd would never fight De la Hoya and then when it was signed you were 100% convinced that he had no chance of winning. Floyd wins...and you still give him no credit for his accomplishments. So we already know that you're going to say that Shane Mosley is shot..and Floyd waited for him to get old. Blah blah.
Shane Mosley is still a good fighter, no excuses if he loses to Floyd. Not from me anyway. This is the fight I wanted in the first place. I think Shane gives Floyd a tougher fight than Manny could.
Not a chance. Despite being at a reach deficit unlike Shane, Manny matches up with Floyd much better, stylistically, than Shane.
no. i'm going to say upfront that Shane is old. there's no denying that. and his best performances are behind him. there's no denying that. as far as the PBF/ODH fight, i thought ODH deserved the decision. and i also thought he fought well below his ability. ODH lost that fight; PBF certainly didn't win it.
Shane's size and strength and CHIN will make the difference. I can't see Floyd hurting Shane, I can definitely see him hurting Manny. We will never agree on this.
Floyd can make Shane respect him the way Cotto made Shane respect him. Nevertheless, Shane has that one hitter quitter; Floyd's been in a lot of sparring sessions lately (including the Marquez fight). If Shane catches him with the kind of overhand right that Marquez caught him with in round two...see ya.
Floyd has never hit the canvas before..so how come one big right hand from Shane means "see ya"? Oscar landed at least ONE flush left hook on Floyd and I never saw Mayweather even slightly wobbled. Oscar's left hook is a harder punch that anything Shane has to offer. Shane has no chance of knocking out Floyd...unless by a lucky rib breaking bodyshot.
The Judah fight, but if you want to be a hair splitter, then you can ignore that cause it wasn't called, but that doesn't mean it didn't happen. Corley buzzed him pretty good. I think Floyd has a good chin though.
As much as i hate to admit it..i agree with you here. Manny is the harder fight. Manny has speed, stmaina and the southpaw stance. More difficult fight for Floyd. Shane is pretty one-dimensional...very good in that one dimension..but one dimensional and predictable nevertheless. Shane will only be relatively dangerous in teh first three rounds..after that he'll slow and become flat fotted and start winging his punches. Manny is lightening FAST for the entire 12 rounds and throws punches from angle and at times that would make it difficult for even Floyd to time. Still Floyd beats Manny as well because the problems that he'd pose to manny would outwieight teh reverse..
Exactly. One would think he would agree to that, you know... Considering the amount of excessive praise he gave Antonio for years and years. And yeaars. AAAAAND YEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAARS.
it is no surprise that mayweather jr is fighting mosley after the margarito destruction. if you look at mayweather jr's last 4 foes they were all coming off huge victories that certainly ranked among the best in their respective careers.
