The RESULT of Kovalev-Ward Has Overshadowed What Was Otherwise a Pretty Decent Scrap, in REED's Opinion...As for Lomachenko-Walters, ALL Of the Blame Falls at Walters' Feet...

I'd take Salido over Mayweather Jr in his second pro fight

If Floyd was 25 Years Old, w/Not 1, but 2 Olympic Games Under his Belt, Orlando Salido DOES NOT Beat Him...Not Even In his 2nd Pro Fight...

    Sorry...

I disagree. Long fights have their own tricks, that surprised Loma and would have done so to Floyd with nothing but amateur experience. Or would you pick Salido in rematch, too?

Relax, Loma won't reach Floyd's achievement

REED Thinks You're Underestimating the VALUE of Having 2 Uncles and a Father that All Fought Professionally...

Also, If You're Affording Floyd 2 Gold Medals Worth of Olympic Experience AND Allowing the Fight to Take Place when he's 25 (as Lomachenko Was), REED Can't See Salido Winning...

REED Would Pick Lomachenko in a RE, and REED Thinks it SHOULD Happen...Before Moving Up to Face Crawford or Pacquiao, Rectify that Blemish 1st...

REED Can't Stand Floyd, so This Isn't Fanboy Bullshit @ All...Lomachenko's EASILY Top 10 Pound for Pound, Probably Top 5...He Needs to Clear Up that Loss Though...

It's Disingenuous to Assume he Only Lost Because it was his 2nd Pro Fight, Considering the INORDINATE Amount of Amateur Experience and SUCCESS he Had...

He lost because the cards were stacked against him. Poor judging, weight discrepancy, and repeated fouls. On top if that, Loma was on the verge of stopping him.

I dont see how you cant act like his inexperience in the pro ranks can contribute to this loss. We all know that ammys vs pros is like night and day.

Surely you cant deny that Loma is at a higher level at this point of his pro career than Mayweather was.

Unlike YOU, REED Is Factoring in EVERY Variable...

Some of Ya'll are Clinging to the "2nd Pro Fight" Angle, as it Obviously Portrays Lomachenko in a More FAVORABLE Light...But Again, Dude was ALREADY in his Mid 20's and Had 2 Olympics Worth of Amateur Experience By Then...GOLDfuckingMEDALS, No Less...So Let's STOP Pretending he was a Green, 2-Fight NOVICE...w/Out Question, Lomachenko had an ABNORMAL Amateur Career...

Last Time REED Checked, Lomachenko was a PRIZED Possession in the Top Rank Stable, so Any "Card Stacking" Was NEGLIGENCE on the Part of Bob Arum...ASSuming he Wasn't Ready for the Salido Assignment in his 2nd Fight, WHYthefuck Was he There in the 1st Place???...Lomachenko was the HOUSE Fighter, Not Salido...

Comparing Floyd and Lomachenko SOLELY on Their Progression After 2 Fights Isn't Sound...Floyd was 19 and a 1-Time Olympian (Bronze Medalist) @ the Time of his 2nd Fight...Lomachenko was MORE Than Half a Decade OLDER, w/Additional Olympic Experience and 2 Golds...

Vasyl Lomachenko is a PHENOMENAL Fighter and a Joy to Watch...But Let's Compare and Contrast Him to Other Fighters in a LOGICAL Manner...Dude is on the Short List of "Best Amateurs EVER", so Let's Not Pretend He was Woefully Out of his League in the Salido Fight...

I see your point and I am not sure what we are arguing about anymore

I believe we all agree on that Lomachenko's loss to Salido had something to do with his lack of experience of 12-rounders.

Another fact is that he could have prepared better, and since he didn't, it counts against him one day we define his all-time status.

Third, since it seems obvious Lomachenko is better now than in that bout, it shouldn't affect his ratings too much

I dont think that he was "out of his league" at all. I do, however think that his inexperience in the pro ranks as well as the bullshit that Salido pulled were some things that he simply didn't think would impact him enough to cost him the fight.

Maybe he had a bit of a false sense of security due to his God-like status as an amateur?

the thing is that the Salido fight being a 12 rounders was actually an advantage for Loma, cause he was clearly unable to deal with Salido windmill, roughhouse style in the early going, and was only able to win some rounds once fatigue set in in Salido.

Which is Why REED Would Like to See a RE, Before Giving Lomachenko the Top Spot in the World, Lb for Lb...As Stated Earlier, he's ALREADY Top 5 or So on REED's List...

Disposing of Salido, in Style, Would Only ADD to Lomachenko's Lb for Lb Status...That Being Said, if he Jumps Up to 140, Successfully, This'll Be a MOOT Point...

More than Anything, the Trajectory of Lomachenko's Career Reemphasizes how SHAMEFUL Triple G's is...In Just 8 Fights, 28 FEWER Bouts and 7 FEWER Years as a Pro, he's ALREADY Compiled a Better Resume and Moved Up a Weight Class...

Remains to Be Seen Where Lomachencko Stacks Up HISTORICALLY, but he's ALREADY Shat Upon GGG, as a Pro...

Lomachenko's Promoter Could've Prevented Salido's Shenanigans and Insured a More Hands On Ref was Working the Fight, to Offset Salido's In-Ring Tactics...

Well he didn't, so its a moot point. That fight was a complete clusterfuck. We all know that Loma will clown him this time around.

Arum dropped the ball in the Salido fight. Wasn't looking out for lomachenko at all. Maybe he had another agenda. Who knows.

If anything that fight may get Salido into the hall of fame when lomachenkos career is over

No, it's NOT a Moot Point and we DON'T Know Lomachenko Will "Clown Him" Next Time Around, Which is WHY REED Hopes the Fight Happens...Hell, Lomachenko was SUPPOSED to "Clown Him" the 1st Time Around...

    Exactly...

Lomachenko was 25 Years Old and a 2-Time Gold Medalist in his 2nd Pro Fight...Floyd @ 25, w/2 Olympics Under his Belt CLOWNS Salido, "Homey"...

I think Floyd in his first pro fight beats Salido, in all honesty. As gifted as Loma is, a young Mayweather was superior in all boxing aspects.

yeah, but as I said before, Loma was getting beat up in the early rounds by Salido. Stamina was not an issue and he actually finished stronger than Salido

    Disagree

He's more talented but watch his pro debut he wasn't too impressive vs some lefty scrub. He wasn't ready for 12 rounds vs a cagey, heavier guy who was allowed to bend every rule
