Who's Speaking in Hypotheticals???... Lomachenko REALLY WAS 25 Years of Age and a 2 Time Gold Medalist, When he Lost to Salido in his 2nd Fight... REED:Con:
Floyd Wiped his Ass w/Apodaca in his Pro Debut...The Bout was Televised Live on ESPN and There was Literally NATHAN About it that Indicated he WASN'T Ready for a "Cagey, Heavier Guy Who was Allowed to Bend Every Rule"... REED:kidcool:
I was being sarcastic. You should know how I highly I think of the 130 Floyd. I'd pick Floyd by clear decision. Although, Loma would give him a lot more problems than Corrales/Hernandez/Chavez did.
He's incredibly overrated. Mainly for the fact that he beat Loma, purely on the basis on being a weight cheat and Loma wasn't used to pro tactics yet.
I don't think Walters deserves to be banned or suspended, but I DO think he should have at least part of his purse withheld.
Ward-Kov actually turned out to be a BETTER fight than anyone expected.... just highly disappointing cause the wrong guy won.
Sorry not his debut, one of his first fights against some black dude who was southpaw. Very unimpressive performance by Mayweather jr
Salido has no bearing on a May-Loma debate. Loma would fuck up Salido in a rematch. The guy isn't a particularly good fighter. He's a dirty weight cheat, that's about it.
How is Salido over rated? And by who? He's an action fighter who has had a good career, I don't see anyone claiming he is duran
No one claims he's Duran, but I feel he gets too much credit, mainly based off the Loma win. I guess the "whom" would be HBO who tends to talk about his dirty style as if what does is masterful. To answer the question if Salido could beat Floyd in his 2nd pro fight... depends on how much of a weight cheat he's allowed to be. If they came into the ring at a comparable weight, Floyd wins. He'd have difficulty, only because he'd have to adjust to an experienced pro, but I think he'd pull away at some point. By time he fought Hernandez, he'd beat the fuck outta Salido.
The whole point is Salido came in way heavier than lomachenko, and missed the contracted weight. If you want to compare lomachenko and Mayweather jr then the latter would have to face Salido under the same circumstances
I understand the feeling but it wouldn't work. If there was such rule, he would have just faked an elbow injury or pulled an Oscar
Sadly I agree. Boxers would just more creative on how they quit making it even worse. While fans have a right to feel ripped off Walters will (rightfully) now have to take the short end of any negotiations. Nobody will care if a fighter avoids him or makes unreasonable purse demands. They'll just tell him to take it or leave it and any complaints coming from his camp will be dismissed or mocked.
Worst Part About Walters is When He FINALLY Faced a Motherfucker his Own Size, He Bitched Up... Beating Up on Smaller Guys Like Donaire and Darchinyan was Right Up his Alley, but 1nce Faced with Adversity from Lomachenko he Wanted Out... He Should Be Forever BLACKLISTED From Any and All Networks That Broadcast Boxing... REED
Good Idea in Theory, but REED Suspects Walters Would Claim to Have Injured his Hand GLOVE TOUCHING Kovalev, and Refuse to Answer the Opening Bell... REED
Walters will be back on TV I'm sure, but his run as a top fighter is done. He'll never come back psychologically from this. He's already quit once, it'll be easier for him to go there a second time.
Oscar took the dive,.. but it was his very experienced accomplice who came up with the plan. :crafty:
Yep, Bernard Concocted the Plan..Wouldn't Surprise REED If They "Sparred" a Round or 2 Beforehand, to Work it Out Logistically... Then, Bernard Touched DeLa GENTLY, on His Right Side, DeLa Dropped and Writhed in Pain Until he wa Safe and Counted Out, Then Gave Bernard a Job he STILL Maintains, with Golden Boy Promotions.... As They Say, Truth is Often STRANGER Than Fiction... REED
Should have been the other way around. Bhop should have taken a dive for the lifelong job. DLH is a shit businessman.
Ouch. Missed this one badly. Excellent win for Lomachenko and superb performance. The type of win you can point to in support of ranking him as high as you want on a p4p list. I'm still not sold on him as the best fighter in the sport, but I'm a lot less inclined to argue against it. I still put Ward and Rigondeaux in the top 2 spots and GGG and Kovalev are right there, too. Let's hope Lomachenko fights more often. I don't need to see him run up to 140 to fight Crawford or Pacquiao. While I'd like to see it, that's a big jump up in weight for a guy who fought at 125 for so long. Let's see him clear out some divisions. I do like the Mikey Garcia fight, but Garcia needs to make sure any rust is gone first.
Yeah, but where has Gamboa been? I'd also like to see Russell Jr vs Walters. Now I'm not so sure Walters would even win, much less dominate like I thought he would. Lomachenko has excuses for the Salido fight, but I don't like excuses. DLH had his Molina fight--I thought it was earlier in his career, but he was 16-0. Lederman scored that fight for Molina. Tszyu had his Hector Lopez fight at 10-0 that some thought he lost. So shit happens. I guess the best way to erase a shitty performance is by racking up excellent wins.
