Because it's more transparent than casper.

"Look! An old Pac beat the best fighter in the world. It takes the GOAT to outbox Pac.."

Its quite obvious that you are no fan of Loma.

I'm actually a Loma fan since the bejing Game. I think he's a top talent and he has the drive to show he's great, unlike some so-called top fighters (coughGGGcough). But some are severly overrating him and his accomplishment, mostly because of the HBO hype. Beating Walters is a lot different than beating a guy like Pacquiao or even Bradley. (Even if Walter is still a terrific win for him)

Contrary to what you seem to be thinking, being a fan doesn't have to include delusion

Fair enough. However it is not out of reason to see Loma beating this version of Pac one bit.

Stranger things have happened, but I would make Pac a clear favorite. Pac tend to get underrated these days. Yes he's not as good as he was, but he's still an elite fighter

At this point lomachenko is the sharper, quicker, hungrier, more active fighter. His superior timing would allow him to beat Pacquiao to the punch

Only way Pacquiao wins is by being too big at 140 lbs. Even then I give lomachenko a shot

Well that's kind of an important thing. You may as well say the only reason Choclatito loses to Ward is because he's too big.

    put it like this

people are acting like the only way lomachenko has a chance is if pacquiao is weight drained at 135lbs. its actually the opposite. the only advantage pacquiao has here is size. if they were anywhere close to the same size lomachenko would give him a whipping. he's simply the better fighter at this point against a guy nearing 40 who has miles and miles of wear and tear. pacquiao looked very unimpressive vs a piece of shit in his last fight

Problem Is, You're AUTOMATICALLY Assuming Lomachenko Can WITHSTAND All Marquez Did, in his Pacquiao Fights...

Pacquaio Bounced Marquez Off the Canvas Well OVER 5 Times, In their Fights..3 Times in their 1st Outing and @ Least 1 Time in Each Ensuing Bout, if REED's Not Mistaken....Busted Marquez Up in Practically Every Fight Too...And Even in KO'ing Pac, Marquez Was Getting the WORST of the Exchanges, UNTIL the Kill Shot...

Sure, Marquez Gave Pac All He Could Handle, but the SAME Could Be Said in Reverse AND Marquez "Felt" Pac Each and EVERY Time they Fought...REED Hasn't Seen Anything from Lomachenko Suggesting He Can TAKE What Marquez Took, to BEAT Pacquiao, Especially MOVING UP to Face Pacquiao...

In Addition to his Skills and Ringsmarts, Marquez Possessed a BLOOD AND GUTS Element, Which Enabled Him to Survive Rough Patches and Trouble Pacquiao Each Time Out...REED Ain't Ready to Put Lomachenko on THAT Level Until it's Been Illustrated...

    MUST-SEE Fight Though, Undoubtedly...

But they're not the same size which is the whole point. I also don't agree that size if the only advantage Pacquiao has even at this stage in his career.

While REED Doesn't THINK Loma Can Beat Today's Pac (@ 140), it's NOT Out of the Realm of Possibility...

But Suggesting Lomachenko DOMINATES or "Befuddles" Today's Version of Pac IS Out that Realm, in REED's Opinion...

This AIN'T Pac-Dela Hoya All Over Again; Lomachenko AIN'T Gonna Move Up AND Dominate or Befuddle Pac, Anytime Soooooon...For Lomachenko to Win, he'd Have to Show MORE Grit than We've EVER Seen in his Pro Career, in the Form of TAKING the Level of Punishment JM Marquez Took, EACH Time he Faced Pac...

After All, Even Marquez NEVER Dominated Pac...

The last Marquez Pacquiao fight, Marquez was fucking up Geiger counters 3 states away and Pacquiao was still kicking his ass until he got blasted.

Assuming good PED testing, that fight means nothing to this discussion.

True, but Pacquiao HAS Accumulated his Fair Share of Knockdowns in that Span...

On Top of That, What Does Manny's LACK of KO's vs. Welters and the Occassional Jr. Middle Have to Do w/a Proposed Bout w/a Jr. Lightweight, That Really HASNT Been Chin Checked Yet, and Will Be Moving Up 2 Weight Classes???...

Pacquiao is old and faded. There is no question about that. Moreover, comparisons to JMM and Loma aren't quite accurate IMO. JMM is a very different fighter to Loma. JMM is a pocket-counter puncher with a remarkable level of endurace: he's easily hurt but so hard to put down that it's hard to see anyone who you can compare him to. I'm a BIG JMM fan, and always have been. He's a superb technician, with good power and super combination punching but what really stands him apart is his ability to get hit, be hurt like hell, and then 30 seonds later fight like he never got hit. That's a rare trait and why he could give prime Manny hell - Manny hit him and hit him but never remotely looked like he was every going to put him away. Everyone else Manny hit like that got put away.

Loma is a different beat. He's a purist's dream. His movement is superb and he throws combinations straight out of the textbook - if you were showing a young prospect a video of how to box, he'd be the guy you showed tapes of. He'd give this version of Pac plenty to think about but Pac is undoubtedly very faded at this point - the whirlwind who demolished Ledwaba and MAB is a decade long gone. That he gives Manny a very tough fight is undoubted, but you have to accept that this Pac is not anything like the phenom who blew through some absolutel legends at the lower weights a good while ago.
