AA is so done right now, there's probably at least 20 HWs ranked lower than him that I'd pick to beat him right now.

Even when he fought Fedor he was on the sharp decline. If you struggle with Ben Rothwell you are pretty much on the brink of losing your elite status..

 

Why not, he barely beat Ben Rothwell and pretty much was in a very bad spot against Roy Nelson by EliteXC was rigged and sottd the fight up after 2.5 seconds. This was the Roy Nelson by the way who was always undertrained, and had the cardio of a man who trained out his house, well because he did.

Nelson is fully capable of going 3 strong rounds. The Nelson that fought Arlovsky has zero stand-up and usually gassed after 4 minutes.

Couture coming on a 1 year plus lay off, win over shot Herring, went 1-1 with the oh so good Mir and managed to outlast 3 minutes Carwin. And Carwin cardio shortcoming are nothing like a weak chin, to beat a fighter with a weak chin, you need the skills to reach it. To beat Carwin, you just have to survive 3 minutes ( at most 5 minutes ), after that he completely crumbles, the blueprint is there. So to me, that's a garbage fighter. Maybe he improves on that but I doubt it at his age. You keep on laughing about Rogers but at least he was professionnal enough to fight more than 1 round in his title fight and his standup his way better than Carwin imo. Wouldn't surprise me at all if he knocks him.

Plus I never claimed JDS had a questionnable chin, just that it was a question mark as it was never really tested. Exactly, he was gassed as shit after the 1st round vs JDS, he didn't looked strong at all, hell, he looked less gassed vs Arlovski ( and less fat too ).

 

JDS knocks out any version of Werdum in any shape or size in my opinion. It might take more or less time than it did, but the same outcome happens 10 out of 10 times.

I am curious at a scenario in which Rogers beats Carwin..... How would that happen? Personally I don't think Carwin's stamina would be an issue. He puts Rogers into a coma in less than a minute.

JDS wasn't in wars with CroCop and Nelson, he was in total control all the way, sure he may have been caught with a good shot from time to time but not with something big enough to mark his chin as granite. It's still unknown, not glass but still unknown. And Rogers may be a bum, but so is Carwin, at least Rogers is professionnal enough so he doesn't crumble like a pouch of potatoes after 3 minutes of fighting

A fighter rankes lower than Mir who would beat him ?? Arlovski would imo, so would Giant Silva, so would Overeem and so would Barenett, all are ranked lower than him on Sherdorg rankings.

Rogers is wat he is, a big guy with a good punch, huge strenght and good timing. I don't claim he's some kind of monster. I just don't get all the love Carwin get, sure he has all the right tools but he doesn't seem able to have them for longer than 3 minutes, and that makes him very beatable. Maybe he improves on it, and if he does, he would probably rule the UFC division untill age catch up to him, but at 35, my bet is that he don'T.

 

Speaking of Carwin, he's just been linked to a PED provider ( well, looking at him, it's obvious he was on the juice ).
