No no no no, Lib for lib :nono: , he always was the bigger guy, sure he was a meticulous gym rat who obsessively kept himself in shape, but despite this, for the middleweight limit, he would turn up dried out and grey like a zombie. He's bigger than Taylor, he's bigger than Calzaghe, he did the right thing at the beginning of his career, but soon learned after his debut loss, that he can bludgeon smaller men if he suffered drastically before the weigh in, then puff back up to Tarver's size afterwards. If his career was coming to a close before he started fighting smaller men, his record would be 0 - 0 - 0, his resume is full of shit, before capitalising on Tarver his best win came over Glen Johnson, a feat, shared by Sven Ottke. He fought a whole lot of fuck all, mandatory defences, the same as Calzaghe, the difference is, Hopkins is American, and he's Roy's bitch. I hate Hopkins as much as you hate Wlad and Mayorga, I even hate Hopkins worse than Fraud :eeeek: .

 

Hopkins lived like a fighter more than any other fighter I can think of. He went out of his way to maintain the same weight for a long time. I can respect that over letting himself blow up and then drying out for the weigh in. It's obvious you have a dislike for him, but I'm sorry, I only deal in the facts and Hops doesn't deserve to be villiafied the way JT does, it's not even remotely in the same hemisphere.

on paper, it's an easy fight vs. a popular name guy who's coming off a pay-per-view win over another name guy. considering mayorga's last fight was above 160, this fight makes perfect sense.

after all, taylor is coming off two consecutive losses. what is he supposed to do? fight a guy like miranda or allen green on his first comeback fight?

 

they should just make Miranda/Mayorga that would fucking wild till someone lands hard.

 

Mayorga was fighting at 160 because he has no dedication for his craft. He just comes out of the woodworks whenever someone offers him a decent payday to be knucklefodder. Correction, a name having knucklefodder. Add to the fact that he's a complete skillless bum with overrated power and no this fight does not make sense.

Unless you're drinking the HBO koolaid and pretty much believe anything they tell you, or you somehow believe that JT knocking off a complete hopeless fighter is going to somehow do him good in the long run, then yeah, the fight makes perfect sense.

 

Taylor also deserves a soft touch after 2 huge ass fights against Pavlik. However, he had his run of super soft touches when he fought Ouma and Spinks back to back. The dude needs to get back in the ring and fight a lower level 168lber and not Mayorga. This is pathetic. I like Jermaine as a person but him fighting these smaller dudes is weak. I hope that when he fights Roy puts his ass to sleep. But knowing my boy he will carry him to the finish line. However Taylors ass will hit the deck at least 2-4 times. I'll Holla 5000

That sounds like Mayorga to me. I mean talking about peoples family while laying around and cursing people out like a foreigner who only knows curse words isn't very creative IMO. It's just disrespectful and vulguar. To this day I don't get why people get so excited about Mayorga's shit talking, anyone who's immature and knows a bunch of spanish curse words should be able to link them up pretty much the same way.

The only thing that makes Mayorga special is he's the only person who goes this overboard to insult people, and just like a message board troll he has to keep it up while trying to outdo it everytime to keep his identity and to keep getting his undeserved paydays.

I swear everything about Mayorga is overrated. His skill, his power, his standing, his excitement level, and now his shit talking.

 

He can be funny though. And the fact that he is just so extreme.

Of course it's all just bullshit, and he kisses and apologizes afterwards.

But even so, shit talking is something he's more adept at, and something that seems to come more naturally to him than Miranda.

I don't like Miranda. I'l glad Kelly thumped the absolute shit out of him.

 

James Toney is the best shit talker IMO. He makes sense and means what he says and rarely ever apologizes. He usually limits his shit talking to telling how bad he's going to beat someone up or how they suck. He doesn't just ramble off a bunch of expletive insults about peoples families who have nothing to do with the fight. Mayorga should join Mayweather on the WWE circuit because his schtek is no different.

James Toney is the king of shit talking. In the truest sense of the word. Everything he says sounds like a toilet flushing.

 

Jermain fought Hops x2, Winky, Ouma, Spinks and Pavlik x2 in his last 7 fights. Thats alot better then alot of other fighters but Jermain gets alot of critisism for his comp.

The Mayorga fight is obvious, to fight a name aka to get paid and to get a win to get confidence before he fights another credible fighter RJJ.

 

I think Mayorga is funny if you speak Spanish and if you know his slang.

But it sounds stupid when somebody is translating the shit talking. I'ts like translating a Joke it doesn't always work.

But like any other shit talker eventually everything gets old.
