What? Enzo was using the turnbuckle to keep himself up. He was gone.

The ref actually wandered over to berate Haye when he should have been counting Enzo out. The count would have been at about 14 when he finally turned up and saw Mac wobbling about the place...

Is that Enzo guy going to be on the next season of dancing with the stars. He and Zab Judah should be.

Reread that post and my prediction for the fight, along with almost every post I have made in respect of this fight.

My 50-50 comments were from a BETTING perspective. I said that whoever landed first would win. That's what made it a 50-50 fight in betting terms. And I was right. Haye landed first. And he won.

Also recall that I said that I though Haye would win but the ODDS on a MAC win were good. I didn't say that I'd be picking him.

Only today, I said that I hoped and thought Enzo would get ICED. Should I post the numerous threads and posts in which I said this? :dunno:

Haye has that suspect chin because of his KO loss to 40-year-old Thompson...but the fucker is quick and punches like a mule. He can certainly do something as a heavyweight considering all the giant slow motherfuckers out there right now.

Mac has looked very impressive until tonight. He pretty much hammered Braithwaite, albeit that he was shot to bits.

Either way, the odds-makers thought this was a pretty even fight, and a lot of people in the UK thought Mac would win...

This was an excellent win for Haye :bears:

Maccarinelli admitted the stoppage was solid after seeing the footage himself.

Yup. He basically punched himself out. By the time he went down, it was like Benn-Watson: he was absolutely fucked.

A lot has been made of the whole 'stamina' thing, but it is overblown IMO. He hardly looked gassed when he was smashing Mormeck out in round seven when they fought, did he?

The goof deserved it. He said Haye should stop hiding and fighting bums after Haye had just knocked out the cruiserweight champ Mormeck is his own backyard Paris, while Enzo had just beaten Dennis Hobson.

Wow, that was a display of wicked handspeed at cruiserweight. That was somet of the best handspeed I've ever seen at that weight. Haye is fantastically athletic!

I would argue that Enzo was down when he first fell in to the ropes. I thought the ref should have given him a count at that point.

Obviously, he was too hurt to continue... but the ref looked like he was brand new. He was terrible.

Yeah, the ref was shocking. That was a shitty call on the knockdown and it lead to Enzo taking a fucking pasting in the corner, when the ref should have been counting him at the time. It would have avoided that last right hand landing on Macca and thats the one that drugged him so good.

That's not to suggest the result changes. I just wanted to see a little more fight.

But I agree with you completely.

 Just goes to show what I know. Composed my ass, he totally froze in there. Credit to Haye though, if he's matched right he's gonna be heavyweight boxing's next superstar. Speed, power, reach, reflex', he has allot of weapons. And talk about charisma, this guy might well be the most interviewable boxer since Ali, I can well imagine him on Letterman & Leno going down extremely well. He's everything Audley Harrison sorely wishes he was. Lets just hope he doesn't take moving up to heavyweight as a license to eat chocolate eclairs and balloon up to 245 like the rest of the fucking shit heel division. He really has no reason to go above 220, IMO. He hits plenty hard enough as it is - he needs to keep enough speed to deliver it . He seems like the vain sort - hopefully that'll work in his favour.

War Haye! I thought Enzo might have been able to hang in there and absorb early pressure but I thought haye's handspeed and power would shock him...bad day for Orthodox, at least Liverpool kept up...

Haye's right hand is among the best in the game. It travels very quickly and has huge power behind it

I also thought that, as it goes. I said as much as I watched it.

Where the hell was he when Enzo got KTFO? As Mac was staggering around doing a CW version of the chicken dance, desperately waiting for someone to come and count him out, the ref was wayyyy too busy trying to make sure Haye was in the neutral corner. I think I counted about 12 before the ref got over and started counting...

However, my post was in relation to TFK's. He insinuated that the ref should have let Enzo fight on...

 Torres is looking more and more like player of the year!!

This fight was always going to be decided by who could land first and clean, and I hate to admit it but Haye looked somewhat faster than my boy Enzo last night.
