Maidana-Morales weigh in

He is not a 130 pounder.

 

IMO he looks way better at this weight than he did making weight from 122-130.. he looked like a concentration camp victim at every weigh-in. He's not exactly in terrible shape here - I think that's just how his body is. Even after rehydrating and entering the ring at 122-130, his body looked soft.

In any event, Morales is one of my favorite fighters of the era, I have always been a HUGE fan of his. I might be biased, but I'm starting to think he can pull out one last big win.

 

Oh don't get me wrong, its better to be 8lbs over than 8lbs under. People often misinterpret body shape. Its much better for him to be heavier- this way his body can take a better pounding and recover faster.

People don't understand about fat. We live in a world where fat is the great evil. Fat protects the kidneys, liver, provides fat-soluble vitamins, is a source of health, in moderation.
