far as im aware, hgh has a very minimal effect on muscle growth unless its mixed with a bunch of other shit, especially IG-F. You certainly cant just inject hgh and increase your size and strength, it doesnt work that way. Something like straight up T might allow a guy to train a bit longer without burning out, but a look over the record of guys caught doing these things seems to show how useless they basically are. Even T wont just make you sprout 10lb of muscle and strength without training specifically for it and a guy like Roach doesn't have his fighters lifting heavy to my knowledge. Boxers do most of their training at the opposite end of the metabolic spectrum towhere these type of drugs are so useful

First of all, Paulie best keep his mind on Juan Diaz who has been training like a madman here in Houston for their Dec 12th rematch.

Secondly, I know Manny and he is not a big man, he is ripped like Bruce Lee was and has very little bodyfat and that is due to super aerobics training, strength training, diet and sacrifice, that's it..bottom line.

You best have trained your hardest Paulie, and that is no shit as this kid is determined to break your ribs this time around, even though I thought you won the first fight, I hope you are in shape like never before as you are going to need the cardio conditioning for this one moreso than the first as the guy is going with a different attack this time around.

yeah, but again, in a sport where the conditioning would be at the opposite end of the metabolic spectrum to how boxers train though. A baseballer would train conditioning for short swift bursts of power in the weight room. Boxing training is much more endurance based and there's little or no benefit to anabolics like T or HGH in that. Guys on the tour defrance dont take or benefit from T or HGH as far as im aware.....boxing aint quite as far along the spectrum as that, but it serves as an example.

If I found out manny had taken 3 months out prior to the oscar fight and spemt them in the weight room, Id have my suspicions but as far as im aware Roach doesn't believe in heavy lifting for his fighters

It is strange that Pac,who after his fights with Marquez, seemed to be a fighter looking like he's at the end of the road in his career. Suddenly comes alive with spectacular victories over higher weight opponents?

It could very well be a similar case like it was with Holyfield after the Bowe fights? But who knows? I'm sure if he was on something,it would have been public by now.

Speed kills. Pac has maintained his hand and footspeed as he's climbed in weight - many others turn into sloths.

You are simply wrong. Endurance is only one aspect of boxing. Physical strength, power, short bursts of energy, speed, more training and less recovery are all integral to the sport. HGH is a great way to improve upon what you already have especially if your moving up in weight and want to build lean muscle. HGH or deca or winstrol won't give you better boxing skills but as in any other sport they will give you an unfair advantage in overall athleticism. Clearly you can see this....They're illegal for a reason man. I remember people used to say "steroids don't help you in baseball, its not like other sports!" Oh yeah, well apparently it does and swinging a bat uses the same muscles groups as throwing a punch. Need I say more?

you notice how he tries to hide the ever increasing size of his dome by letting his hair grow extra long on the sides? This guy thinks we're stupid and we don't know what he's up to.

Sicilian, so he is of African decent and Arab also. That is why Italians from the mainland do not consider Sicilians Italians.

As for Pac on the roids, his performance is unprecedented. I don't think he looks all that different and he does not have hair loss or zits.I wouldn't be surprised either way, but I hope he never gets caught ever for boxing's sake.

Yup. The first thing that came to my mind after watching Manny hurt Cotto, but yet take Cotto's shots with ease was that he had to be on something.

But like 99% of these cases where someone is "suspected" of this or that, there will be no concrete evidence. Probably just some people close to Pac who come forward eventually, but of course they will be discredited as liars with some sort of agenda, and on it goes.

Any maybe that's for the better, as some have pointed out, because if it were ever discovered it would make such a mess of everything that I would be tempted to dump boxing forever.

Of course I wouldn't, but I would be tempted.

Whether taking illegal/banned substances or not, Manny is an incredibly talented fighter. I think his abilities are just natural gifts, and he found his perfect calling in boxing. But seeing him get banged around and stunned by much smaller, softer punching fighters like JMM (who I thought beat Pac in fight #2), and then a few years later watching him beat up on, and walk through Cotto's bombs like they were nothing... it really strikes me as odd.

I hope Manny can make it one more fight without getting caught so he can KO Mayweather, though.

werent you the same chap writing novels here about margarito and his alleged cheating versus cotto. here you are wishing a fighter can get away with usage of performance enhancers so that he can beat a guy you dont like.

now theres a man with integrity!

Roy gained > 40 pounds of pure muscle on an already ridiculous body in the span of 7 months. Some of these guys are just freaks. They are not us (normal men).

Paulie "He takes a punch well so he cheats." I liked him after the Diaz fight but what a twat. He has no place lobbying against the premier fighters on the planet because he is not one.

Are you kidding me...RJ was a known steroid user and tested positive after a title defense at LHW. Why do you think people called him Roid Jones Jr.?

Maybe Pacquiao is on some sort of PED, who knows really, but I think lots of fighters may be on something.

They're probably much more prevelant all over pro sports than most would like to believe.

At this level, I doubt most of the competitors are in it to "protect the integrity and fairness of competition".

I still hate the Plastered Bastard, however.

anybody that says that roids don't help you in boxing, clearly never laced them up. having more strenght than your opponent is a huge advantage, and the muscle and weight gained can help you take better punishment (especially to the body). Also, it can also be epo or any other drugs that help his endurance since he seem to never get tired.

Still, who cares, all of these motherfucker are on the juice, imo.
