I remember exactly what he said. Like I said, it was tough in the sense he made Pacquiao work 3 minutes of every round. Manny has taken more punishment in other fights without a doubt.
they have this thing called a punchstat report. Manny indeed 'mellowed' when he became a born-again Christian. That relentless blood thirsty ferocity that he used to have as a trademark went up in smoke after his conversion and becoming more compassionate toward his opponents.
I think you're confused, or blind, if you really believe PLasterito landed 135 clean power shots. I can understand Manny thinking it was a tough fight - Plasterito was big, strong, imposing and basically impossible to deter. He couldn't even get a breather in the fight, so it was tough in that sense. But in terms of punishment taken? He has clearly taken more punishment in other fights, it's not even arguable.
Again, you are confused. You are confusing Damage with a tough fight. They are not the same. If 160+ fighter who is 5-10 is constantly moving forward on you for 12 rounds and you are hitting him with everything in the book and he wont go down. That is a tough fucking fight. Add to the fact that he landed 229 total punches and 135 of them were power punches. It makes it really tough. Add to the fact that one of the punches to the body was so hard pac himself said "I was lucky to survive that round"
I've already said it was tough in the sense that Plasterito made him work, there's no doubt about that. So actually, you're confused, as I've already made that clear. My point is simple - he took nowhere near enough punishment in that fight for it to have had a permanent impact, lasting effect, and changed his style. Pacquiao basically became more tepid with age - starting with Plasterito, where he admitted he coasted late and let Plasterito finish the fight.
I guess this is your attempt at being funny. It's true that our current faggot ass PC society finds that socially acceptable. As a matter of fact you can count on many people feeling good about themselves and thinking it makes them intelligent to merely agree with you. I wonder how you can find joy in pandering to the PC baboons out there. You're fucking pathetic.
they're correlated, but the causation was probably the other way round: he got shit, and that's why he got jesus
Yeah getting into the Jesus thing means 2 things.....1, you're all huggy and soft and 2, you believe that God defines your destiny, not you.
Same thing happened to Angel Manfreddy when he found Jesus, he turned into a born again loser. It seems when you take the fire and brimstone of anger and despair that fuels your aggression and trade it in for kindness, forgiveness, and all the other niceties that run counter to boxing, it can turn a once fluid fighter into a guy who looks timid and unsure of himself. Everyone always thanks god for their victories but none of them have the balls to blame god for their losses, which they probably should since in Manny's case and especially Manfreddy's he actually was to blame. ::
In which he fought like an animal. But prior to that, he fought like a little wussy against shane. So in reality. Your theory is off. And in fact, it's just an excuse to mock religion for no reason whatsoever.
Yeah I don't know what Anthony is seeing.. Plasterito was like a heavy bag in that fight. Except he probably moves slower than a heavy bag.
Pacquaio even during the staredown after the fighter intros was not showing any disdain or anger. He was basically grinning, happy, and overly respectful. Basically, he went in with absolutely no intention of committing murder on Floyd. He hasn't had these fierce intentions in years, as steve alluded to. All because of that bible stuff. The ferocity is all gone.
ahh, the trend of making fun of jesus on social media....only thing missing in this thread is a comment about loving bacon and loving science
