I've regularly shitted on Gabe for his bias long before he ever wrote that article, the guy is a moron. Even the Maxboxing forums hate the guy. I'm not saying that there's "tabloid" reporting going on but the cease & desist letter from G as a result of a completely unrelated topic (which Montoya says in the article) would make much more sense if you look at the Pacquiao lawsuit as an impetus for it. There's no proof or evidence of a failed drug test.. though non-G fighters have failed A samples and B samples were still taken as conclusive. Not sure how having USADA "in his pocket" would help if everyone is undergoing the same tests (Floyd != G, but even aside from that) - especially since VADA testing was what Floyd wanted initially.
I'd entertain the idea, of course. It wouldn't shock me at all. But Floyd isn't the one who's avoided drug tests while shooting up in weight and KO'ing much bigger guys, so.. *shrug*. His strength at 147 is fairly remarkable though, especially considering the guys he's fighting regularly outweigh him by 15-20 lb.
Have I not said a million times I don't know who's taking what? I'm not arguing that anyone is clean, I'm saying people throw accusations around and act like they are stating fact.
I thought he wanted it back in 2009 when the negotiations initially started, iirc I read it on FightHype at some point (?) If nobody else remembers it, I might be wrong, but I am fairly certain VADA was mentioned for sure at one point.
Emmanuel Pacquiao is Filipino, meaning he's from the Phillipines. He's sometimes referred to as "Pac Man".
He wanted Olympic style drug testing. VADA was never mentioned. They don't do "exemptions" for fighters with enough money so...
I'd argue that JMM is a bit more obvious. Manny has never transformed his body overnight. What is it exactly that makes it so obvious to you? Just the fact that he beat bigger guys? I mean you certainly can't tell by looking at a guy unless it's as obvious as JMM. James Toney failed a steroid test.
Explain yourself jazz hands, it's obvious you're an expert at picking out guys on steroids just by looking at them. I will entertain the thought that Pac is on Steroids. It wouldn't be shocking to me at all.
yes and the pain it causes is enormous, especially when compared with something basically painless like a syringe
have you gotten a root canal? Do you need to get one to know that it hurts more than getting a filling? Common sense
I know what it means. To me, it's not that unbelievable what Manny is doing. He's got a HUGE speed advantage over these bigger guys. He struggled more with smaller faster guys.
It's Not the LEAST Bit Surprising that Manny's MAINTAINED Every Drop of Speed AND Power, as he's DRASTICALLY Moved Up???...That's UNPRECEDENTED... Armstrong, Duran, Robinson....EVERY Great Fighter in Boxing History Got SLOWER & Saw a DIP in their Power, as they Moved Up...Pac DIDN'T... REED:mj:
