maybe donaire has a real good chin against guys his own size. we'll see. he's hittable and martinez would land hard shots.

It's starting to look good for Pacquaio-Mayweather for Cinco de mayo 2012.

Manny's disappointing yet victorious effort over Marquez finally LURED Floyd into a firefight with Pacquaio. Floyd will be an even bigger favorite to win. It looks like Floyd might be the first to sign followed by Manny.

I just want confirmation, press conferences and world tours scheduling to begin and then boxing will have it's superfight. Better late than ever.:egypt:

Martinez isn't even part of the discussion. The guy's two years removed from failing to beat Cintron & Williams, get a grip, people.

I've been a Martinez believer for a while, despite being a 2 bob Roy impersonator in some ways, the guy can fight, he is a good fighter.

But despite that, I think there's a pretty big gap in ability between Donaire/Pacquiao/Floyd and Martinez.

Sure his wins over Williams and Pavlik are good, but come on, surely no one can believe Martinez is actually a better fighter than Donaire.

Exactly. Ive consistently stuck up for Sergio - he's very good. But not on the Floyd/Pac/Donaire level.

I have to admit, most the luster's been taken off this fight for me by the JMM fight. Pac is clearly much the same fighter he ever was and Floyd will decode him within 2 or 3 rounds tops.

i just meant that there is a gap between Floyd/Pac and the rest. probably rate donaire ahead of martinez too.... but #1 and #2 are firmly established, imo

Fair enough. I think Donaire is right up there. And since the subject's being discussed, I think Andre Ward's quite a bit better than Martinez

Even if the subject of a thread is Andre Ward it's still not a good time to bring up Andre Ward. :shit:

There should always be something more relevant and/or interesting to talk about.

I feel the same way but for different reasons.

As you noted yourself, Pacquiao has definitely improved technically, this was the first time he's been able to "box" with Marquez on even terms, rather than win rounds with speed, power and unpredictable attacks.

His speed and power looked unspectacular in the fight, but his boxing ability looked better.

But that's not how he's going to beat Floyd, in a patient boxing match, that's Floyd's ideal fight.

It was Pacquiao's speed, power, unpredictability etc that led me to pick him over Floyd before.

That's about the gist of it.

    Improved boxing skills, but shot.

I have more formal training in fighting than I do programming.

I don't like street fighting at all, it's for thugs and heathens. But I can fight, and I have no doubt I would shut you down in seconds, like the furious machine of pure negativity that you are.

You wouldn't be able to handle my optimistic energy and jubilance, let alone fighting ability and speed.
