Uh, uh, uh,..:nono: The answer is,.. they're both illegal, and both should be punished accordingly,... but I haven't heard anything about Mosely failing a drug test post-fight?.. I thought it was more of a situation of him admitting steroid abuse at some point in his life the way Vitali has, and not as part of his preperation against an opponent,..

I never said Hopkins making middleweight was illegal,.. I said that this weight system does NOT correctly ensure that fighters are matched in size per division so that a cockroach like Hopkins can take advantage of it, as he did after his failed Light-heavyweight debut. Hopkins actions in the ring against smaller opponents are cowardly and illegal ofcourse, but he's embraced for it, now THAT, is indeed, as you've very well mentioned, a great example of sociopath criminal trash, THRIVING at home, reiping the benefits of the American system that's been nurtured in a multitude of ways, from top to bottom, an established 'republican framework' [IMG] .

what's worse than the premature guilty till proven innocent sentiment is this belief that the cotto fight is tainted. margarito didn't win the cotto fight strictly with punching power. improper taping did not help him take all those shots or be in tremendous shape to throw a shitload of punches.

It was preparation for a fight. The rematch with the cross-dresser. At first, what Mosley publicly said, such as in the Mosley-Vargas I countdown, was that he went to Balco for supplements and passed a lie detector. Then as more info was released, a couple of months before Cotto-Mosley, it was "oh I took steroids but I didn't know what I was taking".

Of course he didn't fail the post-fight drug test. Balco specialized in making undetectable steroids and other performance enhancers.

The same hypocrisy which you criticize the fans of the fighters you dislike, is the same shit you're doing with Mosley.

Throwing elbows and leading with your head are "cowardly and illegal", but a guy who "unknowingly" injects his body with steroids and EPO, is "a great ambassador to boxing" in your opinion.

No, no, no. The Cotto fight is tainted. Has to be. Majority rules.

Balco specializes in making undetectable steroids and other performance enhancers,... ??.. when did this become public knowledge?,.. was there a raid or something?..

and if he passed the post-fight drug test,.. how did we find out he's been juicing?..

I dont know much about this story,.. but there's bits of information that dont seem to add up,... If you would please fill in the gaps, we'll together expose wether Im a hypocrit or not :nono: .

Thats sort of an unfair representation. I don't doubt that some Cotto fans maybe sense an excuse and are using this situation but the more serious and widespread concern is that Cotto was permanently injured because of Margarito's very immanent way of using his hands to cause more damage to his opponent.

This concern is legitimate. It does potentially detracht from Margarito's feat.

THG is "the clear". That is an undetectable steroid, and a performance enhancer used by Mosley and countless other athletes. "The cream" was a masking agent to trick drug testers. Yes there was a raid that was public knowledge, it was mentioned every other day by Sportscenter, talking about Barry Bonds.

He admitted it after Balco got raided and it made the news that he was a client.

At first glance that's a very good point Neil, but then you have to take the mental aspect of that into account. For example if Margarito knows he's got illegal hand wraps then he knows he's got an extreme punching advantage and he knows it's eventually going to wear on Cotto. That could boost his confidence enough to take more punishment and go more rounds if necessary.

Ok, I see on those details,.. I dont have the luxury of being able to watch 'countdown specials' where I dwell,.. as the further inland you go in Australia the more 3rd world it becomes,... the reason I didn't know about the details of this contraversy is because there were no alarm bells ringing post-fight on any website,.. and this is actually part of the point when I say 'ambassador', with the core emphasis on his qualities, through the short term lead up, the fight itself, and the post-fight conference,..the mainstream fan isn't likely to obsessively scratch around for every small splinter of detail between long stretches. Fighters like Hopkins and Fraud produce a disgraceful display throughout all 3 of those main critical sessions that are viewed by the broader public eye, and unless you're a fan of Jerry Springer level decadence, they descend the sport into disrepute.

Not once will I ever claim that drug taking is acceptable, and trying to measure which is more 'illegal'.. steroids - or grinding your elbow into someone's eye, is irrelevant,.. both should be dealt with accordingly,.. the reason I suppose that the ring-felonies are more infuriating is because they are there for all to see, time and time again, by everyone, including the referee,.. and journalists then proceed to PRAISE it, as 'masterful' 'admireable' defence,.. and that's just fucking insulting,... steroid intake appears to be impossible to spin, so we can't conveniently allow it to ride :nono:.
