As much as I don't care for Margarito, Arum is a scumbag for getting this guy cleared to fight when he obviously should not be fighting. He's going to end up blind in his fucked up eye.

I thought Cotto has looked pretty good at 154.

I thought he looks slow and average vs. both Mayorga and Foreman...

He looked good against Foreman, and I thought the Mayorga fight was overstated as being close. Cotto was never in danger of losing that fight.

Margarito is the one far worse for the wear. In fact, he hasn't looked good SINCE the Cotto fight.

Hearing is set for tomorrow (Tuesday) at 3PM to determine whether or not Margarito gets licensed in NY. Top Rank has contingency plans in place (Denver and Phoenix).

Last week, the front was that Texas was in play, but was never going to be Dallas. Arum had a quick conversation with Jerry Jones, but the fact that Pac-Margarito regressed from Pac-Clottey spooked Jones a bit. If anything, San Antonio was the front runner if it wound up in Texas.

50/50 that it remains in NY, which is better odds than last week.

Both sides (NYSAC and Top Rank) fucked up, this whole mess could've been avoided had everyone properly done their job.

denver or phoenix? damn. good thing i didn't book my room in ny.

considering this 'independent' doctor is the one making the decision, i'd assume it will go on in new york as planned. at least i hope so.

Miguel Cotto says if WILL NOT fight outside of NY. It's on fightnews video. He clearly says the contract he signed is for NY.

So if the fight moved to say, East Rutherford, NJ, Cotto wouldn't fight there :scratcher:

i figured that would be the most logical place, but who knows, maybe they already have an event lined up for that saturday. that place is less than 30 minutes away from MSG.

Yeah people are moving around, but I have to assume at least someone will be sitting at the board table when it gets going.
