Mayorga vs Vargas!!! First Brawl!!!

I would think their respective fights against Trinidad and DLH would suggest there might be a difference in skill level.

Despite how shot Vargas is, I still think he can win this fight. Mayo is a bully, he's much better if guys are intimidated by him(like Forrest). But Nando doesnt back down from ANYONE and he showed Mayorga yesterday, that if Ricardo talks shit about him, he's gonna get popped in the mouth. Watching the PC just now on youtube, if anything, its Mayorga who I think now is a bit intimidated by Vargas. He was probably just expecting Nando to sit thier and do nothing like DLH, and Tito did, but Nando is too hot headed for that shit.::

Vargas beats Mayorga.

Mayorga hasn't knocked anyone down since 2004 and hasn't knocked anyone OUT since 2003 at 147.

Mayorga will have an outside shot for three rounds tops. Vargas beats his ass until Mayorga decides to quit.

On WNF last night, Teddy Atlas said that Vargas hit Mayorga first. He obviously didn't see the entire tape because it was clear that Mayorga reached over and slapped Vargas first, then Vargas retaliated.

From what I saw, Mayorga tried to be slick and do a no-look slap on Vargas but 'nando pulled back and it fell short...plus, Mayorga didn't really try to hit him.

Vargas cleared threw harder, meaningful shots...

How ironic considering this is how the real fight will turn out.

 

This fight will be fun, tons of stupidass antics and showboating and will have a few KD's to go with it. I think its a tossup. If I had to bet I guess it would be on Mayorga but who the fuck cares:dunno: Just let the good times rollopcorn: !!!

I can't believe Fernando blows up to 264 in between fights, that's ridiculous. If he just ate pasta, and salmon he could probably keep his weight clearly under 200 without any problem.

Training for 7 months just to reach 180 is ridiculous as well. No wonder this is Fernando's last fight, he's eaten himself out of the sport.

I still hope he chin checks Mayorga for trying to slap like a fairy. What kind of fag throws no-look bitch slaps and misses. That takes skill, and Mayorga doesn't have it.

 

I think the biggest difference will be the weight. At 154 Mayorga wins, simply because it's where he should be fighting at. Vargas was killing himself for years at that weight.

I know Mayorga didn't want the figth at 160 not to mention 162 which is what they agreed on. Of course he needs the payday so that's where it will take place.

as far as who is worst I think they are about the same. Vargas always used to want bully around fighters like Mayorga has. That's what's funny about this match up. They are both equally bad.

The one credit I give Mayora is that when he provokes someone he does it himself while Vargas carries an entourage of 7-8 washed up cholos who do some of the fighting for him as well.::

 

Vargas isnt just a bully. Pre-Tito he was a damn good fighter with skills. And I didnt see Vargas depending on his entourage against Mayorga. What I saw was Mayo try to slap Vargas like a lil bitch, and Nando snuffed him.

 

No doubt even today Vargas is a better schooled fighter than Mayorga. But he was always about potential. He never did reach that expectation.

I Bring up Nando's entourage because everytime he starts shit there is alot of his people helping him. He pulled that shit with other fighters before.

I agree he got the best of Mayorga on this one but again there were 10 of his crew in the middle. Who the fuck was on Mayorga's side? some old guy and Don King? ::

My point is that as much skill as Vargas had he always used the street bullshit to scare his oponents like Mayorga has.
