I'm a fan of Floyd and I really think he is one of the best boxers ever, but he is hurting his career standings.. fighting just small guys etc..

i think he should fight Cintron as Cintron is big and can crack but Floyd would just put on a clinic

When was the last time your pussy hero fought the best boxers in the world who were legitimate in their weight classes? some boxing fans seem to reckon cintron is a worthy foe. some claim he's shit. it seems mayweather jr may as well fight campbell or malignaggi instead, considering most casual fans will deem all 3 opponents as over matched.

 

Cintron is a collapse-job, period.

 

Cintron is an alright choice of opponent.

Nothing more nothing less. Not as if he really cares, but for credibility, he's gotta fight Pacquiao or the Mosley/Berto winner.

 

pure Floyd ( and his fans ) thinking. Why fight a decent opponnet ( let's be honest, Cintron is nothing more than this at the world class level ) when you can con the public into buying a fight with a non-threatening, and even more importantly, smaller opponent. Nobody in his right mind would pick Campbell to win versus Cintron, but the PBF fans gonna argue he's the better opponent of the two when he get chosen

 

Exactly, PBF needs a mega fight soon, and I understand that all the big names are tied up ( I won't get into the whole Pac fiasco ) in the near future so I can understand Floyd fighting yet another tune-up. But at least Cintron would offer Floyd a stylistical challenge due to his style and power and would give Floyd credit if he fights him ( don't get me wrong, he would still need to fight the top dogs of the division after that thought ). Malignaggi and Campbell are just awfull choices.

 

Likewise Pac has to fight Floyd. Pac not fighting Floyd and Floyd not fighting Pac is dissapointing regradless of who they fight. Cintron and Clottey are both known for losing their biggest fights.

By the same token, why fight anyone at all? Floyd would probably beat them, so he may as well just not fight, let the fans do the hypothetical fighting for him.

A similar amount, and almost everyone regards Cintron as a more legitimate opponent, if nothing else but him being a legit welterweight.

Well, Floyd likes to come off like he doesn't give a fuck, but I think this picture and the press conference it came from tell us his true feelings on public perception. Of course you'll never convince Mayweather fans of this, they believe Floyd's lies more than he does. They take nothing into context and just roll with whatever Floyd says.

I would say the same about whoever Floyd is fighting, the only thing is, Floyd is such a bitch the chances are slim he'll even fight someone in his own weight class, the one he's been competing in for 5 years :kidcool:
