So you're either Duran, or you're a bitch? I guess that makes 99.9% of fighters bitches.

Expecting someone to fight someone who is cheating is retarded.

This right here. But the only way MWS will ever see the light is if you shine a flashlight down Pacquiao's throat.

MANILA, Philippines -- Manny Pacquiao's camp says there is no economic sense in setting up a bout with Floyd Mayweather on May 5 after the unbeaten American publicly challenged the Filipino champion via Twitter.
Pacquiao's financial adviser Michael Koncz told The Associated Press on Thursday that a 45,000-seat boxing arena being built in Las Vegas won't be finished before the end of May and staging the Pacquiao-Mayweather fight in a smaller venue is "foolish from an economic standpoint."
Mayweather challenged and taunted Pacquiao to a May 5 bout in a tweet on Tuesday.
"Manny Pacquiao I'm calling you out let's fight May 5th and give the world what they want to see," he tweeted.
Mayweather is available for a fight in May at the MGM Grand Garden after a judge agreed last week to postpone his jail sentence for domestic violence until June. Mayweather was sentenced to 87 days in jail, but likely will serve less time.
The MGM Grand seats about 17,000, which could fetch around $20 million in sales, but the larger arena could raise an additional $30 million, Koncz said.
"Why would I tell Manny to fight on the 5th and throw away a percentage of 30 million? That's crazy," he said.
Top Rank promoter Bob Arum has told the Philippines' GMA television the only reason the fight won't happen is if there is an "economic problem."
He said the fight "could happen very, very easily" at the end of May -- enough time to build the outdoor arena "the fight so badly needs."
"I will also guarantee Manny's purse," he said. "In other words, Manny doesn't want to go into the ring and just fight out a percentage."
He said Mayweather is looking for "outside parties to guarantee his end of the purse."
"So, until he finds the angel, there is no fight," Arum said.
In a separate interview with GMA, Pacquiao said that if Mayweather agrees to a "50-50 sharing, there will be no problem."
"The purse is not the issue right now, the date is," Koncz said. "But we don't have a problem splitting it 50-50."

It's only fitting that the two best fighters in the sport should become the biggest emblem of how much it stinks.

Pacquiao just got booed out of the building by his own fans after his gift against Marquez. Not sure how that makes him part of the top 2 fighters in the sport.

I mainly mean the whole saga over the last 2, 3+ years. These two guys could have revitalised the sport, instead they've become the final proof that it's a dead duck

If it aint one issue it's another. Now it's a Venue problem. Screw them both.

I think Floyd calling out Manny has nothing to do with wanting the fight and everything to do with being able to say hey I TRIED to fight Manny when he fights a bum in May.

From what I understand the fight is available May 5th. It's Team Pac that wants it in another Venue/Date.

That's the point. He KNOWS that, he knows they won't take the fight so he's calling him out to make himself look good.

What happened to negotiating? Shouldn't both sides be involved in getting a date and venue?

Exactly, don't get me wrong, Arum doesn't seem to want the fight, and it's starting tollok that neither do pac. But it's ridiculous how many were fooled by PBF bluff. If he seriously wanted the fight, he'd negotiate with team pac, not decide the date and venue unillateraly and tweet about wanting the fight. Pac is not some fring guy who'd sell his soul to have a fight with floyd, he is a superstar in the same way floyd is.

Does someone have the stats on the percentage of fights that are done INHOUSE? With the SAME promotional company?

The UFC has the best FIGHTERs in MMA, and they keep putting up the best matchups available while still recycling FIGHTERs who lose, they don't become irrelevant. And if an organization does a good job of developing FIGHTERs and in putting up good cards, they go in buys them out and transfer some of the FIGHTERs to their organization.

When was the last time a GBP FIGHTER fought a Top Rank FIGHTER?

I think the answers to those 2 questions will shine a light on what's wrong with the sport of BOXING...

Exactly. Now don't get me wrong, I'm not blaming Mayweather exclusively, both sides are to blame.

Truth is NEITHER of them "WANT" the fight. They both want money, as much money as possible. Pac has the jew in his pocket and jew knows how to make the most money possible trust me. So basically he did the math where Manny fighting Floyd makes HUGE money but only for one fight and if Manny losses Money train is derailed HARD therefore he's taking it easy and picking smaller a lot more winnable fights for less money. Compare this to a bank robbery. You could either rob this huge bank with incredible security next to the police station with a huge risk of going to prison or you could rob 10 smaller banks with minimal risk and at the end of the day make more. Floyd is going on and on how about he's his own boss but it doesn't matter one bit. If Floyd had Bob Arum as his boss he would be doing exactly what he's doing now. Wouldn't make a difference one bit.

Sounds reasonable to me. This is why you negotiate FIRST, then get a date and venue.

Well, I went home with the Jinkee
    The way I always do
    How was I to know
She was with the duckers, too

I was juicing at The Wild Card
    I took a little risk
    Send tatoos, needles, and venue
Bob, get me out of this

    Not the innocent bystander
    Somehow I got stuck
Between the Floyd and the Money May
And I'm down on my luck
And I'm down on my luck
And I'm down on my luck

    Now I'm hiding in Manila
    I'm a desperate man
    Send tatoos, needles, and venue
The shit has hit the fan

    Send tattoos, needles, and venue...

Calling somebody punk & making an ultimatum via twitter doesn't hold much water with me. It smacks of somebody getting hyped up by their friends & making a prank call, rather than a serious desire to make a fight.
